Election Alert

According to Roll Call,

The Federal Election Commission is showing signs that it might allow a Guyana-born American citizen to file papers and raise money to run for president of the United States.

This is dangerous precedence considering that Obama's citizenship is under question by many conservatives.  One thing is certain, if Abdul Hassan is allowed to run for office, then how the Constitution is observed will be radically changed.  Almost anyone would now be elidgable - the perfect situation for those who seek global government.

Contact your U.S. Representative and Senator and let them know that this is not ok.  The FEC has no power nor right to make this harmful and unconstitutional decision!

Libertarians Just don't Get It

For all of their good intentions, Libertarians are about 200 years past relevance when it comes to homeland security. For most of them, their position is for America to become once again an isolationist nation. They seem to believe that if we drop our support for Israel, the mad Muslims will leave us alone.  They blame us for 9-11, and stick their heads in the sand concerning the realities of Islam.

The fact of the matter is, in today's day and age where travel by air is common place, travel by sea faster than when our Founding Fathers were around, in a day where the motor vehicle replace the horse drawn cart, and in an era where information is shared globally at the speed of an electron, it is no longer wise nor prudent to close our doors.  Yet somehow, the Libertarians don't see this.

Their defacto leader, Ron Paul, opened his mouth recently and has shown once more how Libertarianism is not the answer to America's problems. From Jihad Watch:

Ron Paul: "Those who hate us and would like to kill us, they are motivated by our invasion of their land"

I'm tired of the Rick Perry firestorm. Time for a Ron Paul firestorm. Another Clueless Presidential Candidate Alert: "Ron Paul says U.S. intervention motivated 9/11 attacks," by Josh Hafner for the Des Moines Register, August 27:

WINTERSET, Ia. – Two weeks away from the tenth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, presidential candidate and Texas Rep. Ron Paul says that U.S. intervention in the Middle East is a main motivation behind terrorist hostilities toward America, and that Islam is not a threat to the nation.

At a campaign stop on Saturday in Winterset, one man asked Paul how terrorist groups would react if the U.S. removed its military presence in Middle Eastern nations, a move the candidate advocates.

“Which enemy are you worried that will attack our national security?” Paul asked.

“If you’re looking for specifics, I’m talking about Islam. Radical Islam,” the man answered.

“I don’t see Islam as our enemy,” Paul said. “I see that motivation is occupation and those who hate us and would like to kill us, they are motivated by our invasion of their land, the support of their dictators that they hate.” Read it all

Speech Stifled

In a move reminiscent of paranoid Liberals, Ohio Congressman Steve Chabot,

a Republican, had cell phones and cameras confiscated in order to “prevent an embarrassing Youtube video from making the rounds,” according to Carlos Miller, who runs a blog documenting efforts by the state to stifle the First Amendment rights of photographers.

As much as I loathe to raise my voice in protest along with Soros funded Progressives, in this instance, I have to, although for, perhaps, different reasons.  Any squelching of free speech, and (as in this case) ones ability to record a public meeting with their Representative during a public Town Hall event, is in violation of Constitutional rights.

Police said the cameras were taken “to protect the constituents.” A local television station, however, was allowed to videotape the meeting and the brazen move by Chabot and the cops.

Protect the constituents? Would someone in law enforcement please enlighten me as to how having possession of a camera (or any recording device for that matter) would endanger one's personal safety? This is an absolute absurdity and I cannot even fathom how the police could make such a statement with a straight face.

For this act alone, regardless of his stance on certain issues, Rep. Steve Chabot should be thrown out of office.  We need to let the ruling elite know that regardless of Party affiliation, no one is above the Constitution and anyone who attempts to hinder it will be shown the door to the unemployment line.

Zayed/Spencer Debate: Does Islam Guarantee Women Equality of Rights with Men?

There was a recent debate between the Imam Moustafa Zayed and Robert Spencer of Jihad Watch concerning the question of women having equal rights as men in Islam.  The following video is rather lengthy but a good source for information for those wanting to know more about the supposed "Religion of Peace" [sic].

Military Police in Civilian Life

Folks, this is kinda scary.  It seems that the Air Force lead a raid against a gun store today in search of "stolen material" that supposedly isn't related to weaponry.  Regardless of the reason, the military has no purpose what so ever of policing civilians.  The rule of law has been broken, and this worries me.  Is this just a "fluke" thing, or are we going to see more stuff like this in the future?

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV)- We're learning more on why the U.S. Air Force raided a local gun store Friday. They say it wasn't guns they were looking for.

An official from the Air Force is speaking to Action News about that raid. New information clarifies that this may have been an inside job, and the penalties could turn out to be very severe.

It was an afternoon that rocked businesses near Dean Martin and Flamingo. Local and federal law enforcement agencies swarmed in and served search warrants on Citadel Gun and Safe.

New information gives us an insight on the massive raid that up until now, authorities were tight lipped about. Turns out it was the Air Force Office of Special Investigations that led the raid.

"They went in there and did in fact find stolen air force military property that was stolen from Nellis Air Force Base," says Linda Card with the Air Force OSI.

Metro lent a hand as well as the FBI, ATF, and ICE. The recovered material though would not have posed a danger to regular people, says the Air Force.

"It did not include weapons, guns, explosives of any kind, bombs, nothing like that. It was basic stolen military property," says Card. Read it all

It also worries me that a gun shop was involved.  We know how liberals feel about the 2nd amendment... was this part of a scare tactic?

Rick Perry's Islamic Ties

There have been some investigations lately into Gov. Rick Perry's ties and or lip service to Islamics.  I think these are issues worth looking into, considering that he may be the next president of the United States.  Do we want to put another man into office who won't take a serious look at Islamic terrorism?  Decide for yourself.

The first article is from Daniel Greenfield.  In it, he takes a serious look at Perry's relations with, among others, Mohamed Elibiary and Farouk Shami - both shady characters. The second is from Robert Spencer who looks at Perry's connections, among others, to Grover Norquist and Aga Khan - more shady characters.

What I don't understand, is with all the evidence around us, why politicians pay lip service to Islamic personas who contradict our country's firm stance on freedom and liberty?

Russian network host boasts of 'money bomb' for Ron Paul

WASHINGTON – A commentator on Russia Today, a Russian government-funded television news network that now is known as RT, has boasted of a $1 million "money bomb" on behalf of U.S. Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, a candidate for the GOP's nomination to be president, raising a whole host of questions about just what has happened.

That's because while the commentator happens to be an American, and legally could donate to Paul's presidential campaign, foreign entities such as RT are prohibited.

For some reason, the mere thought of a Russian news station raising money for Ron Paul sends goose bumps up my back.

"I'd like to end tonight on a note of some good news," said Adam Kokesh, a former U.S. Marine who has a segment on RT called "Adam vs. The Man."

"We have some good news from the front lines of the Ron Paul 'LOVEaluation' with our money bomb on June 5.

"Yesterday we raised over $1 million for the Ron Paul campaign. And I'm starting to figure out what electable means, because electable or non-electable is really a code word for 'if this person wins, I'm not gonna be able to get as much money from the government,'" he said.

The comments came on his June 6 program on RT, which is a Russian state-funded, multilingual television news network that, in effect, has endorsed the candidacy of Paul.

Perhaps my unease comes from the fact that RT is tied to Russian intelligence.  Not only that, but the whole issue of legality comes into question.

But contributions from RT, which observers say is tied to Russia's intelligence services, would raise legal questions, given that the Russian media outlet is a foreign entity and, in effect, an instrument of the Russian government. Support for Paul from RT is due to the congressman's opposition to U.S. involvement in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The revelation of RT backing for Paul occurred just after the Iowa Straw Poll on Aug. 12, which showed Rep. Michelle Bachmann, R-Minn., as the winner with 4,823 or 28.6 percent of the vote. She was followed by Paul in an almost statistical dead heat for second place with 4,671 or 27.7 percent of the vote and former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty coming in a distant third with 2,293, or 13.6 percent. He dropped out of the race the next day.

News outlets in the United States reported Bachmann's win but few reported on Paul's showing of being a close second to her.  Read It All

What I really want to know is, why is the Russian government pushing for the election of Ron Paul?  What is Paul's relationship with them?  Could it be because Paul has vowed to turn America into an isolationist nation, leaving Russia free to do with the world what it wants?

"Oh," you may be saying, "this is the new Russia.  The Cold War ended years ago! Russia is our ally!" If that's what you believe, then I have a bridge you might be interested in purchasing...

Saul Alinsky's “Rules for Radicals” - An examination: Preface

Lest we forget at least an over-the-shoulder acknowledgment to the very first radical: from all our legends, mythology, and history (and who is to know where mythology leaves off and history begins – or which is which), the first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom – Lucifer (Alinsky)

In 1971, Saul Alinsky published his now infamous Rules for Radicals (RfR) with the intent of enabling the readers to change the world into what they want it to be – from a Communist and Socialist standpoint. Used as a guidebook, RfR laid down the war plans for the radical leftist assault on our political system.

Born in 1909 to Russian Jewish immigrants, Alinsky was a community organizer and writer. Attending school at the University of Chicago to learn the discipline of archeology, Alinsky soon realized that his particular skills were not widely needed in the private sector. Thus, he dropped out of grad school to accept a position as a criminologist with the state of Illinois. It was then that he began his efforts as a “community organizer,” spending nearly forty years working with the poor by organizing them for community action.

As a declared “champion” for the poor, Alinsky was highly effective in bringing Communist and Socialist ideas to those who felt slighted by the rich and/or their very nation. As such, he is often credited for the grassroots political organizing in the 1960s. In 1969, he was awarded the Pacem in Terris Peace and Freedom Award. Alinsky died of a heart attack at the age of 63 in 1972. (Wikipedia)

Some notable figures are connected with RfR in some manner, including Hillary Clinton who wrote her senior theses on Alinsky. (Hillary Clinton Quarterly)

Many of us have heard of Alinsky. Perhaps some of us have even come across quotes attributed to him. Yet, how many are intimately familiar with his works as a whole? Thus, it is my intent to examine RfR in its entirety and disseminate the information contained there-in. I feel that it behooves Conservatives and Independents alike to understand the “playbook” which many radicals adhere to. It is my belief that if such information was studied and disseminated during the 60s and 70s, many of the degradations of society that we are now witness to (up to and including Obama's failed presidency) would be greatly hindered – if not halted.

Preface

Alinsky begins by immediately naming the targets of what he calls, “The Revolutionary Force.” They are named as “[morality] and material.” Mentioning Marxism, Alinsky laments that those of his generation have not passed forward the “torch” of their movement, leaving many young people essentially clueless as to the actions required for the movement's success. He also makes an early mention of McCarthy and names his (McCarthy's) actions a “holocaust.” This may indeed be why Progresives of today posses an almost rabid hatred for the man – he almost succeeded in purging America of Communists and those who desired to twist and change what America was and is.

Alinsky also attempts to equate his movement to those of early Christians saying:

Its young protagonists are one moment reminiscent of the idealistic early Christians, yet they also urge violence and cry, “Burn the system down!” (pg. xii)

This is an attempt to give the “revolution” a moral equality to those of Christian movements. Yet further on in his prologue, Alinsky states the progressive line that morality itself is only determined in the viewpoint of the beholder. Thus, one can honestly conclude that the only reason Alisky mentioned Christianity in the first place was to gain a foothold in the conscience of one who may be initially wary.

As he continues, Alinsky attempts to make a case that today's youth have no leadership and no set of guidelines to help them change society. He mentions current movements of the day: hippies, conclaves, etc. and makes the obvious deduction that the youth are seeking a way of life.

When they talk of values they're asking for a reason. They are searching for an answer, at least for a time, to man's greatest question, “Why am I here? (pg. xvii)

He discusses the “generation gap” where according to him, it is the older generation which, while trying to understand youth, has pre-conceived notions which will not bend. “When you're older you'll understand” is a phrase he used more than once, yet his rhetoric makes that statement seem degrading. It is obvious to the studious reader that he is trying to erect a divide between the generations.

Alinsky then gives a glimpse into his system. According to him, to effect change, one must work from within the system – not outside.

As an organizer I start from where the world is, as it is, not as I would like it to be. That we accept the world as it is does not in any sense weaken our desire to change it into what we believe it should be – it is necessary to begin where the world is if we are going to change it to what we think it should be. That means working the system. (pg. xix)

As we examine the past forty years, that's exactly what we see. Socialists infiltrated all aspects of public life: schools and organizations (such as the Girl Scouts and unions), as well as local, state and federal governments. Using these positions of influence, the Socialists were able to brand their way of thinking on to youthful and innocent minds, corrupting them to the “cause.” This is one of the reasons why I believe that Obama was so easily elected. We had generations of people growing up who allowed Alinsky's followers to do their thinking for them. Thus, being brainwashed into seeing lies as truth, they elected a community organizer to the highest post in the nation. In fact, although we Conservatives look down our noses at those who hold the title of “community organizer,” to the brainwashed masses, it is a title of highest regard.

Alinsky continues:

It is most important for those of us who want revolutionary change to understand that revolution must be proceeded by reformation. To assume that a political revolution can survive without the supporting base of a popular reformation is to ask for the impossible in politics. (pg xxi)

To back up this statement, he refers to the American Revolution and the famous quote by John Adams wherein the change of hearts and minds was stated to be the back bone of the Revolution (and indeed it was).

As for how one is to grasp on to the hearts and minds, Alinsky states:

Remember: once you organize people around something as commonly agreed upon as pollution, then an organized people is on the move. From there it's a short and natural step to political pollution, to Pentagon pollution. (pg. Xiii)

This brings to mind movements such as: “Save the Rainforest,” “Save the Whales,” “Save the Planet,” and etc. If one ever wondered why such “causes” are mainstream and the numbers of which are almost beyond count, now you know why. Succinctly, what Alinsky is saying is that one must first grab the attention of others through agreed upon causes, and then turn that into a political movement. Once you control the minds, anything is possible. After all, someone who wants to save the Earth from global warming must have the goodness of all humanity on his or her agenda. Right? This is, of course, flawed logic where the preposition itself is corrupt. However, there are millions of people who cannot, or will not, recognize this. Instead, they will allow themselves to be led like sheep to the slaughter.

Alinsky finishes his preface with praise for the democratic system and urges his readers to not give up. Almost slyly, he encourages people to “[hang] on to one of your most precious parts of youth – laughter.” He goes on encourage us all to continue in love and beauty, as well as the “ability to create.” (pg. xxvi). Nice words – sugar to sweeten the ears of those who unknowingly seek their own destruction.

Worried about Paul

I'm worried about Ron Paul.   On economic issues, I support him 100%, but on foreign policy, he has no understanding of real world issues.  I do agree that we should pull our troops out of Iraq and Afghanistan, but we should keep Israel as a close ally.  As the only true democratic state in the middle east, it would be foolhardy to leave them to their fate.  As well, his comments about Iran not being a threat is grossly ignorant.  Iran has stated over and over again that it wants to destroy Israel and the "Great Satan" - us. Even though everyone with common sense knows what's going on, Iran continues to lie about its nuclear weapons program - which they're very close to completing.  They're even working on their "delivery system" - new rockets.  The jihadists in the middle east do not hate us because of our support for Israel.  If anyone would be honest with themselves, its ideologically based (Islam vs. the Free World).  Removing our support from Israel will not encourage the Islamic countries to "like" us. Thus I believe that if Ron Paul becomes president, world events will create a grave danger to a nation that has its eyes blinded by choice.

Compound this with Mr. Paul's statement that he is going "all in," I believe that he will split the vote, just like Ross Perot did in the mid 90's.  It was because of Mr. Perot's presidential run that Clinton was re-elected. Clinton only received 49% of the votes, with Perot and Nader taking votes that, if gone to Dole (who had 40%), would of given Dole the victory.  With politics as they are today, Paul will most certainly take more than just 9%, and even though Obama is quite unpopular, he could easily take the re-election as a result.

I just wish Libertarians would stop smoking their dope (which Paul is not opposed to legalizing) and come to realize that its more than just economics which strengthens a country.  Morality and strong alliances with fellow democratic/republic societies are as equally important.

Durbin's Confontation Covered up

From the Washington Times Communities:

Chicago, August 11, 2011 – This week U.S. Senator Dick Durbin held a press conference with members of the mainstream media to talk about the downgrade crisis. But the Senator’s scripted storyline veered off-course when a conservative reporter – me – showed up to ask an embarrassing question. Namely, “Senator, you’ve blamed the tea party…but do you bear any responsibility for this downgrade crisis?”

What, you didn’t hear about this incident in the media? For those of you that need more proof that journalism is dead, read on.

What?  You mean that the liberal media acts as lap dogs for the Democrats? Amazing!

Today's Civil Rights - A Necessary Movement

The Richmond-Times Dispatch has reported that 21 year old Aaron B. Tobey, who was taking a flight to attend a family funeral, stripped to his shorts and revealed the 4th amendment written upon his chest as he was going through the screening process. The reaction of the Transportation Security Administration (T&A) personnel was to arrest and detain him for over 90 minutes.  He was charged with disorderly conduct, which was later dismissed.  In turn, he is suing the U.S. Department of Homeland security and the T&A. The complaint alleges:

false imprisonment, malicious prosecution and violations of Tobey's rights under the First, Fourth, Fifth and 14th amendments. It seeks $250,000 in compensatory damages, legal fees and additional training for TSA employees
.

He was handcuffed for the duration, and his belongings were repeatedly gone through and certain items were detained. Of course, the lawyers for the T&A are seeking to have the case dropped.

If one is to be reminded of the Soviet and Nazi era searches, one need not progress any further than the TSA – a government agency which regularly violates the 4th amendment. It states:

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Those who protest their violated rights are routinely harassed by T&A employees.  Tobey was obviously no threat, yet he was handcuffed and detained for over 90 minutes.  In fact, these violations were so clear cut that Hinrico County authorities dropped the charges against him.  Yet, what the T&A did was commit another personal attack against a citizen of the United States in the hopes of cowing the civilian population.  Their message was clear – do not protest us.  Do not resist.  We are above the Law of the Land.

I have written before about the atrocities committed by our government in the name of “safety,” and unfortunately, its getting worse.  Recently reported in the news were cases where an elderly woman was ordered to remove her diaper, another forced out of her wheelchair, and multiple cases where young children were forced to endure a pat down.  In fact, my daughter of six experienced a pat down just a few weeks ago.  Thankfully, I was not at the airport when it happened, or I would be blogging from behind bars.

Passengers are given the choice of walking through a scanner which virtually “strips” them, or they must choose endure a humiliating pat down. In addition, the scanners reportedly give off high doses of radiation.  If this process was limited to airports alone, it would be bad enough.  Yet, the T&A is seeking to install scanners in train depots, bus stations, sports stadiums, and even in mobile vans.  San Francisco has gone further by installing wireless cameras in its buses, as a recent article reports. The excuse of “protecting our citizens” has now turned into “policing our citizens.”  Truth be told folks, America is actively becoming a police state.  One wonders when (not if) the time will come when we'll need to carry papers just to travel – anywhere.

Two years ago, I wrote an article on African dictators and what they have in common with President Obama and his administration.  The similarities are shockingly similar.  In it, I quoted M.A. Jama, a resident in Africa who has personally witnessed the rise and fall of dictators.  He said, “The road to dictatorships starts with nationalistic slogans and the creation of a common enemy to rally against, real or hoax. Rivals are branded as traitors and agents of the enemy of the state or the revolution. Opponents are constantly harassed and intimidated.”  Is that not what we are witnessing now?

The enemy is terrorism.  However, instead of focusing on the group which is most responsible (Islamic terrorism), our Government now suspects everyone.  Their mantra is that we will be “safe” thanks to the repeated violations of our 4th amendment rights. Yet, those who oppose their actions have been labeled as “terrorist threats.”

In the Fall of 2009, the Department of Homeland Security issued a "Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment" warning.  The document warned of potential “terrorist threats” from those who oppose abortion, are returning veterans, oppose same-sex marriages, oppose restrictions on firearms, oppose lax immigration laws, oppose the policies of President Obama regarding immigration, citizenship, and the expansion of social programs, oppose continuation of free trade agreements, are suspect of foreign regimes, fear Communist regimes, appose a "one world" government, bemoan the decline of U.S. stature in the world, and are upset with loss of U.S. manufacturing jobs to China and India.

Reading that list is almost the equivalent of reading the bio of every Conservative American.  Yes, according to the DHS, you are a terrorist risk.  The truth of the matter is that if we Americans passively accept the T&A, its actions, and its procedures throughout the nation, then it won't be long before the government will become what we as a country fought against in WWII, the Cold War, the Vietnam War, Gulf War, etc.  And you, my friend, will be at the top of the suspects list.

On December 1st, 1955, Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat in a racially segregated America.  She in turn became a hero to the Civil Rights movement of the 1950's and 60's.  Her actions spurred on the non-violent resistance to draconian segregation.  Today's situation is, in my opinion, far worse.  Americans are not being segregated, instead, we are being treated as criminals in an infant police state.  In turn, we need more people such as Aaron B. Tobey to passively resist.  We mustn’t stand by and watch our freedoms drain away.  We must resist until America is free once more. The question is, however, do the Americans of today have the spine to do what they must?  Only time will tell.

Here are two videos that I recommend for viewing.  They concern the mass murdering lunatic Anders Behring and the claims that the MSM makes concerning him.  The first video addresses the claim that right wing anti-Islam personalities such as Robert Spencer and Pamela Geller influenced him to commit his heinous acts.  The second video addresses the claim that Behring is a Christian. Both were created by Answering Muslims.

Troubled Patriot Update - August 2011

Dear readers,

Yes, I've been a bad, bad blogger. I haven't written in about a year, and I apologize. I stayed away because writing about all the crap that has been going in on our country has depressed me to no end. But that's not an excuse. In actuality, I'm pissed off. I'm watching this country go down the tubes and its tearing my heart out. This year was the first time I couldn't support Independence day. Why? Because we're loosing all the freedoms our founders and soldiers fought and died for! I simply couldn't stomach the hypocrisy.

A few days ago, I went to Amazon.com and ordered Saul Alinsky's “Rules for Radicals.” Before you have a heart attack or start sending me messages about how I've “betrayed” the “cause,” let me tell you why I purchased it; I want to study the communists in power and throughout the nation. I'll do this by reading one of their manuals. In turn, I'll be writing articles here on each chapter of the book (No, I'm not turning into Hillary doing book reports of a “hero!”). Most of you have heard of it, but how many of you wasted brain cells by actually reading it? I'll do the heavy lifting and then provide you with the ammunition you need to confront the leftists. You'll know their tactics and, by being informed, be able to counter them.

So, stay tuned as I get back in to the saddle again. I'll need to chip off a few layers of rust, but it'll be worth while. Again, my apologies to you for taking this time off. Giddy-up!
