The Associated Press
has reported on union workers having a little spat in Washington state. It appears that
[the] International Longshore and Warehouse Union believes it has the right to work at the facility, but the company has hired a contractor that's staffing a workforce of other union laborers.
So, in a show of "solidarity" for (I assume) "Workers of America" [sic], they stormed the docks, threatened a police officer with a baseball bat, damaged railroad property, held security guards hostage, and then headed back to their pad for a few brewskies. Interestingly enough, even though they did all this (in addition to ignoring a restraining order),
No one was hurt, and nobody has been arrested.
But fear not, oh selfless and brave union workers!
"A lot of the protesters were telling us this in only the start."
Keep showing that class, guys. You're doing wonders for your public image!
