I had an interesting experience tonight. I got to talking with a neighbor at the apartment complex here and he started attacking jews and claimed that the two nuclear bombs dropped on Japan equated to a holocaust. He obviously is clueless when it comes to the facts of the matter - of which the bombing actually saved hundreds of thousands of lives on both sides if America had simply invaded. He also called Israel of being hardline killers of innocents, and when I tried to talk to him about the human shields that the terrorists used, he wouldn't let me finish. He stated that Israel was incredibly racist, but when I tried to mention how the Muslims and Christians in Israel are free to worship as they please and have the greatest freedoms than in any Arabic nation, he again cut me off.
Basically, it was Conservative vs. Liberal, and near the end he called me an idiot, a bigot, and insinuated to a passerby that I was going to hit him when I had no desire to do so at all, and said that he had no respect for me. He then went on to state that he hates America's military (to quote, "F&^% America!") and really attacked them verbally. At this point in the discussion (which he started), I realized that I was talking to a brick wall.
I guess the real issue is that you can't debate liberals. You bring out logical arguments, and when they can't refute them, they resort to name calling and demonizing of character. I truly feel sorry for my neighbor and people like him.
Liberty's wail is overflowing the streams, rivers, mountains and plains of America.

Proud American
America did not cause 9-11. There was no government conspiracy, and our support for Israel is no excuse for the 2,996 people who were murdered ten years ago. The United States supports numerous other countries, why is it that our support for Israel is evil? It isn't. Israel is a recognized nation. They did not displace the Palestinians. In fact, before Israel's existence, there wasn't even a group called Palestinians! They are a bunch of refugees who were supposed to be repatriated into Egypt and other Islamic nations, but were left to rot so as to be used as an excuse to attack Israel on the battlefield - both moral and militarily. Israel is the only truly democratic state in the area, and a staunch ally of America. To turn our backs on them because a bunch of blood thirsty killers don't like it amounts to cowardice.
Concerning the civilian deaths in the conflicts, there is no one to blame but the islamists themselves who purposefully hide behind human shields. In our country's paranoid rules of engagements, our troops can't even shoot at thugs setting up roadside bombs if they are in the vicinity of a civilian population. They have to watch those death traps being constructed and wonder how many of their brothers and sisters will die because of them.
America went to war as a result of war being declared upon us. People seem to have forgotten that nations such as Iraq were giving money to the families of suicide bombers and that the entire Middle East raises its children up in hatred and with a desire for death. While Americans are fighting to live, these people are fighting to die. People say that Iraq had nothing to do with 9-11. They forget that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction and used them on its own people - the Kurds. As well, people seem to forget that prior to our invasion, military convoys were photographed via satellite heading into Syria. That, my friends, is how Syria's nuclear program advanced so quickly. As well, we did indeed find traces of WMDs in Iraq. It was our folly to announce a date for invasion, giving Saddam time to shuttle off his incriminating evidence.
People say we were wrong to invade Afghanistan. They forget about the Taliban and how Osama hid out in that country as well as Pakistan. The Taliban (still in existence today) is an Islamic organization fully bent upon forcing the populace into following strict adherence to Sharia law - an evil law that subjugates and tortures people in the name of Allah.
Should we be in Afghanistan now? Personally, I think not. Why? Because our politicians are not allowing our military to fully propagate war. Just as in Vietnam, our military's hands are tied politically and as a result, thousands of our soldiers have perished. If we are not going to fight a real war, then we need to get out.
I'm upset at those who say that America is a terrorist nation because we used nuclear bombs to finish the second World War. These people are grossly ignorant of history. They forget that on the islands of Iwo Jima and Okinawa, the Japanese fought to the death. They do not understand that the entire island nation of Japan was preparing for a fight to the end. Civilians were being trained in warfare and if we had invaded the home islands, the casualties calculated were tremendous. To gauge the fanaticism of the Japanese empire of the day is the fact that it took two bombs to force the nation to surrender. Even after the first nuclear bomb was dropped, they were still ready to fight to the death. That was the resolve of our foe. Those who decry our use of nuclear bombs seem to think that multiple hundreds of thousands of deaths - on both sides - were preferable to the bomb. Are they bloodthirsty?
Unlike Obama and those who spit hatred and disgust towards this nation, I will not apologize. In fact, I'm proud of this country's history and am blessed to be one if its citizens. Because of this nation's efforts, Nazism was stopped cold, and France, Britain and many other nations were spared dictatorship. Communism, that evil humanistic policy of so called "equality," was destroyed. The USSR fell and the wall between East and West Berlin was torn down. This country was founded on individualism and greatness. Her history is full of excellence from all walks of life: science, religion, freedom, technology, education, medical, etc. How anyone can appologize for this blows me away.
Yes, America does have its faults, and is currently embroiled in a fight for its life thanks to the Progressive Communists at the helm and in our public institutions. Yet there is still hope as the salt of the Earth Americans are standing up and shouting, "No more! This is our country, and you can't have it!"
No, my friends. Don't look to me for apologies. This nation has nothing to be ashamed of, but instead, has everything to be proud of. God bless the USA!

Worried about Paul
I'm worried about Ron Paul. On economic issues, I support him 100%, but on foreign policy, he has no understanding of real world issues. I do agree that we should pull our troops out of Iraq and Afghanistan, but we should keep Israel as a close ally. As the only true democratic state in the middle east, it would be foolhardy to leave them to their fate. As well, his comments about Iran not being a threat is grossly ignorant. Iran has stated over and over again that it wants to destroy Israel and the "Great Satan" - us. Even though everyone with common sense knows what's going on, Iran continues to lie about its nuclear weapons program - which they're very close to completing. They're even working on their "delivery system" - new rockets. The jihadists in the middle east do not hate us because of our support for Israel. If anyone would be honest with themselves, its ideologically based (Islam vs. the Free World). Removing our support from Israel will not encourage the Islamic countries to "like" us. Thus I believe that if Ron Paul becomes president, world events will create a grave danger to a nation that has its eyes blinded by choice.
Compound this with Mr. Paul's statement that he is going "all in," I believe that he will split the vote, just like Ross Perot did in the mid 90's. It was because of Mr. Perot's presidential run that Clinton was re-elected. Clinton only received 49% of the votes, with Perot and Nader taking votes that, if gone to Dole (who had 40%), would of given Dole the victory. With politics as they are today, Paul will most certainly take more than just 9%, and even though Obama is quite unpopular, he could easily take the re-election as a result.
I just wish Libertarians would stop smoking their dope (which Paul is not opposed to legalizing) and come to realize that its more than just economics which strengthens a country. Morality and strong alliances with fellow democratic/republic societies are as equally important.

Once more into the breach dear friends!
Well actually, just one more posting showing the extreme hatred bred by Islam.
On May 10th, 2010, UCSD Student, Jumanah Imad Albahri (a member of her university's Muslim Student Association, which happens to be an arm of the Muslim Brotherhood - a terrorist organization) , confessed - with forceful and clear certainty - her hatred for Jews. In fact, at first she balked at responding to David Horowitz's initial question concerning support for Hamas because:

Trouble in France
Jesse Petrilla, a Republican running for City Council in Rancho Santa Margarita recently went to France. While there, he witnessed an Islamic demonstration. This will happen in America as well if we don't stop being PC towards the militants within our own borders.

What is a Nuclear Power?
I obviously don't know the definition of "Nuclear Power" when it is use to define nations who have nuclear weapons capability. For example, my Political Science professor stated that Israel is a nuclear power while North Korea isn't.
My understanding always came from this: A nation is labeled a nuclear power when is has been verified to have nuclear weapons. I guess the fact that Israel has never admitted to having nuclear weapons (although it is assumed to have them by a majority of analyst) while having actual data of North Korea detonating two nuclear bombs would mean that North Korea is certainly one with Israel probably being one.
For example, a recent article from the Washington Times reports how North Korea is suspected of adopting their current nuclear weaponry to include nuclear tipped missiles. The article shows how North Korea has already performed two underground nuclear tests, and how
Concerning Israel, the Federation of American Scientists (FAS) reports:
Interesting. A nation which we know for certain has nuclear weapons is not labeled as a "nuclear power," while a nation that still has not yet admitted to having them is labeled as such.
Thanks for clearing that up for your class, professor! It's amazing how much the leftists in college love Israel and are always trying give the nation such glowing praise!

On North Korea, the report disclosed for the first time the U.S. intelligence estimate of when Pyongyang will be able to reach the technically challenging threshold of producing a nuclear device small enough to be carried on a missile.
Concerning Israel, the Federation of American Scientists (FAS) reports:
Israel has not confirmed that it has nuclear weapons and officially maintains that it will not be the first country to introduce nuclear weapons into the Middle East. Yet the existence of Israeli nuclear weapons is a "public secret" by now due to the declassification of large numbers of formerly highly classified US government documents which show that the United States by 1975 was convinced that Israel had nuclear weapons.

Of All The Moronic…
Of all the moronic, imbecilic, stupid, and insane things to do, the United States has warned Iran that they are deploying anti-missile weapon platforms to the Gulf. Why would you even consider a warning? It would have been better to say that the weapons have already arrived and are ready to respond to aggressor actions. Alas, no. They have informed the pariahs of the Middle East that they are currently deploying weapons systems. That gives the Mad Mullahs a window to strike before the weapon platforms are in place.
To make matters even worse, the weapon platforms themselves have been proven unreliable in a very recent test where
So let me see if I can understand this correctly: at the same time that the United States warns Iran that it is deploying a “missile shield,” The U.S. also informs them (and the rest of the world) that the technology is defective. Ahmadinejad must be quaking with fear in his camel-skin sandals right now!
As moronic as this is, I cannot lay the blame entirely at Obama’s feet. He’s simply following an insane policy used by both President Bushs and President Clinton. When Iraq was invaded, what did the United States do? They gave the camel jockeys in power a tremendous amount of warning - even a date! When the U.S., in effect, took over “peace keeping” missions during the Muslim slaughter of Christians in the Serbia/Croatian conflict, they pretty much warned them when the strikes were going to happen. In fact, that last conflict that the United States engaged in without giving a definite time frame for its entrance was the 1989 raid in Panama where Noriega was captured and brought to justice.
Am I the only one who sees how wrong and demented this is? Does anyone in the positions of power have even the smallest amount wisdom what so ever?
Israel should just ignore the United States and the rest of the world when it comes to their security. The world is sitting back on its heels and allowing hate-filled Muslims to run all over them. The world is allowing Iran to construct its nuclear beast with barely a whimper. A missile “shield” only sounds good until you realize that it has but to fail once for nuclear fallout to happen. Just once, folks.
Don’t think that the United States (the Great Satan) is immune from Iran’s sadomasochist schemes either.
Anyone who believes that it’s ok to slaughter their own citizens - nor anyone who believes that to bring in their “savior” they need to start a world conflict - will stop until the world is in a full fledge nuclear conflict.
Israel, please do the rest of the world a favor – bomb Iran back into the Stone Age (you know, how they were just a few decades ago?)!
To make matters even worse, the weapon platforms themselves have been proven unreliable in a very recent test where
A U.S. attempt to shoot down a ballistic missile mimicking an attack from Iran failed after a malfunction in a radar built by Raytheon Co (RTN.N), the Defense Department said.
So let me see if I can understand this correctly: at the same time that the United States warns Iran that it is deploying a “missile shield,” The U.S. also informs them (and the rest of the world) that the technology is defective. God Bless America?
I love my country. I love what it used to stand for. Yet I have to ask, why do we continue to expect God to bless America? Consider the following:
Christians have become meek and barely voice their concern or outrage over the attacks daily committed towards them and their faith. They say, "Oh, but it's not loving to fight back!" Then is Jesus not loving? Do you not remember him calling the Pharisees "vipers" and "whited sepulchers?" Do you not remember him turning over the money changer tables in the temple? If you love someone, will you continue to watch them destroy their lives and do nothing? Where is the outrage? Where are those who'll stand for Christ? Do they exist at all anymore?
When December 25th comes around, and you sit at your dinner table and pray for God to bless America, consider what you have done in part for His glory, and honestly ask yourself, "Why would God bless America?" Never forget Sodom and Gomorrah.
- Our leaders and a good portion of the population advocate abortion - the murder of unborn children.
- Pornography has become mainstream.
- Our leaders promote and support the sinful homosexual lifestyle.
- Our nation is in the process of removing all references to God.
- This nation promotes other faiths such as Islam over Christianity
- This nation actively teaches atheism to our children via humanistic and evolutionary theology in our schools.
- Christmas is no longer about Christ, but about the "holidays." A pox on those who'd actually call it "Christmas!"
- Our leaders are turning their backs on Israel.

My Views on Foreign Policy – a Deeper Examination
A couple articles back, I wrote about a local Town Hall event where those who attended met Chick Heilson. In it I mentioned my opinions of the event, and why I would not support him. First off, let me be clear that I consider him a far better person for office then what we currently have serving. However, there are some positions that he has taken which I simply cannot support. One of them is his position on foreign policy. Concerning it, I said:
This afternoon, I attended a local gathering of Patriots for a class on the Constitution. It occurs every Thursday from noon to 1pm. Today’s lesson centered on foreign policy. While our founding fathers were quoted (such as George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and others), no strict Constitutional law was. It was more of a meeting based on a particular version of conservative opinion. In this one instance, I am going to have to disagree with what was presented. The following will be my reasoning as to why.
George Washington’s farewell address covered a few different issues. The first, and primary, would be his explanation for refusing a third term to office. Another issue concerns the conditions of the Union and his encouragement to the members of such. Yet another concerned Patriotism and conduct towards other nations. It is regarding his comments on what we now call “foreign policy” that I wish to pay particular attention.
Many people such as Ron Paul point out a comment Washington made concerning how the United States should keep a neutral position towards other nations. Washington exhorted us to not favor any particular one, but to:
He also stated:
Washington’s reasoning is sound and wise. Yet one thing is never mentioned concerning his farewell address. People are quick to bring up his exhortation to stay neutral, but fail to mention his other exhortation. He stated:
George Washington knew that there would come a time where it would be impractical to remain completely neutral. There would be times when America would have to remove herself from her “isolationist shell” and form alliances. Yet even with that he warned:
As well:
During his time, weapons of mass destruction were unknown. Travel was done either via foot, horseback or ship. Mountain ranges and oceans were true boundaries that were difficult to overcome. In a very real sense, the world was closed off. The United States itself found it’s eastern and southern boundaries protected by the Atlantic Ocean. To the west and north were vast landmasses - not heavily populated. Neutrality was an excellent stance, and one that America should attempt to adhere to, as much as possible, in this day and age.
Yet the dawn of the 20th century brought about an industrial revolution. Suddenly, ships that were powered by the wind (and sometimes coal) now were able to access diesel fuel. As such, the capabilities of ocean going traffic increased immensely. Motorized vehicles soon found themselves dominating horse and train travel. Then, the aircraft was invented.
Almost 100 years later, America’s involvement in the first World War is still a topic of debate. It revolves around whether or not America should have joined with the allies. Some propose the case that our involvement only increased the duration of the war and it’s casualties. Others proclaim that it was a necessary “evil.” Regardless of current opinions, the facts are that America did indeed join in this war.
After the war, the United States found itself entering the Great Depression. This was a very trying time for the country, and it’s resilience was tested in a way never before experienced. Yet her strong citizens persevered. America, however, did remain active in the world arena of politics.
Yet world politics were changing. Fascism was raising it’s ugly head in Europe, and Communism was finding a foothold in Russia. Japan was experiencing it’s own industrial revolution and was fast becoming a power to be acknowledged.
Technology was advancing in leaps in bounds. Aircraft were becoming faster and more powerful. Battleships soon became national symbols of pride, and Germany advanced submarine technology. Suddenly, the world was much smaller – and more dangerous.
Germany, still hurting from it’s loss in the first World War, was looking for a way to regain it’s national pride. It wanted to expand it’s territory, and at the same time, remove “undesirables.” In 1939, it launched a blitzkrieg offensive, effectively starting World War 2.
During this time, Japan was seeking to increase it’s military and industrial power. Yet, as it is an island nation, lacked the natural resources for this to happen. So Japan began to look elsewhere and laid it’s eyes upon China. It too launched a military campaign of conquest, and committed many horrible atrocities against the Chinese.
During this time, Great Britain went to the defense of it’s ally, France, as the German war machine continued it’s unstoppable advance. In a secret pact, America agreed to supply England in it’s war effort. While doing this, it also imposed sanctions on Japan. America would not support it’s brutal war on China.
In response, Japan launched a surprise attack on Pearl Harbor in December of 1941. This action brought the United States fully into the war. During which, many nations were freed from the grips of dictators.
During World WW II, technology advanced in leaps and bounds. Jet aircraft were finding their wings in the sky, and the power of the atom was realized. America emerged as a world super power with a robust economy and large military force. Some say that the war actually helped rescue America from the Great Depression.
As well, the return of Israel as a nation became a reality. While during the purges of Hitler and Stalin many people of differing backgrounds were slaughtered, it was the Jews who bore the brunt. The vow of “never again” became the rally cry of Jews throughout the world. After thousands of years, the nation of Israel was reborn with the United States being the first country to recognize it’s right to exist.
Most people are aware of the history since then, so I do not feel it necessary to delve into it. Suffice it to say, technology advances have continued to increase in leaps and bounds. Space is no longer an unattainable goal, while the power of the atom was fully realized. The sound barrier was broken, and with the advent of electronics and the information age, it is now a common occurrence to communicate with others from the far side of the world.
Yet with all of this has come increased dangers. We no longer live in an isolated society. Weapons of Mass Destruction are, unfortunately, a reality. Israel is the only true democracy in the Middle East and is constantly under attack. Islamic fascism has reared it’s ugly head and seems hell bent on world domination. With all of this going on, it is fool hardy for the few remaining free nations to “go it alone.” This, I feel, is what Washington was referring to when he commented on America staying neutral for as long as she was at liberty to do so. America is no longer at such a liberty.
Though in truth, we should cut ties with the United Nations and NATO. We should not have our soldiers in over a hundred different countries acting as a police force. We should not be surrendering our national sovereignty in any form, be it militarily or economically. Yet to leave countries such as Israel to fend for themselves is criminal.
As well, it is very unwise to think that we can be friends with all nations. A common saying in personal relationships is that you can never make everyone happy all the time. This also includes international relations. The Islamic threat is very real, as well as threats from rogue nations such as North Korea. China is as a dragon that has woken up, and Communism is still a very strong threat. We must not think that through dialogue or the giving of “gifts” that we can obtain their favor. Indeed no. As the world is no longer isolated, free nations must band together for survival. To do so otherwise will ultimately lead to the demise of America and freedom herself.
As well, his stance of being friendly with all nations but in alliance with none is, in my strong opinion, dangerously isolationist and unwise. That position may have served America well before the 20th century, but in today’s world of faster then sound travel, mass communication and weapons of mass destruction, American cannot afford to “go it alone.” As well, America must actively support the few remaining free nations in the world. To not do so will ultimately bring destruction upon the world and America herself.
Observe good faith and justice towards all nations; cultivate peace and harmony with all.
He also stated:
In the execution of such a plan, nothing is more essential than that permanent, inveterate antipathies against particular nations, and passionate attachments for others, should be excluded; and that, in place of them, just and amicable feelings towards all should be cultivated.
Washington’s reasoning is sound and wise. Yet one thing is never mentioned concerning his farewell address. People are quick to bring up his exhortation to stay neutral, but fail to mention his other exhortation. He stated:
`Tis our true policy to steer clear of permanent alliances with any portion of the foreign world; so far, I mean, as we are now at liberty to do it; - emphasis mine
George Washington knew that there would come a time where it would be impractical to remain completely neutral. There would be times when America would have to remove herself from her “isolationist shell” and form alliances. Yet even with that he warned:
Taking care always to keep ourselves, by suitable establishments, on a respectable defensive posture, we may safely trust to temporary alliances for extraordinary emergencies.
As well:
The duty of holding a neutral conduct may be inferred, without any thing more, from the obligation which justice and humanity impose on every nation, in cases in which it is free to act, to maintain inviolate the relations of peace and amity towards other nations.
During his time, weapons of mass destruction were unknown. Travel was done either via foot, horseback or ship. Mountain ranges and oceans were true boundaries that were difficult to overcome.
