And they say Conservatives are full of hate...

How many times have you been accused of being hateful and bigoted? How many times have you been shouted down because you stand for what is fiscally and morally right? Well guess what, your the American version of the Taloban, according to Florida Democrat Alan Grayson.  Watch for yourself:

The Raw Story, which did a report concerning this, is filled with venomous hate filled comments from the left. I'm going to post some of them here for you to read.  These were the most recent ones at the time I visited.  I decided to take only these instead of forcing you to read all the filth.  But feel free to go to the article to read them all if you wish. Trust me, this is only a skimming. Warning, they are not for the easily offended.

I really like that the term "American Taliban" has become synonymous with the right wing, GOP republicans, tea baggers, what ever they try to brand them selves as, this new term has been properly assigned and it's sticking to them.

That's exactly what they are, American Taliban = our own home grown extremists.

There is a street in my neighborhood that is being repaved and the rain run-off is finally being routed out of people's property. After 40 years, the job is finally being done right.

It is using stimulus money and it is claimed that it employs 23 full-time employees for 9 months. My observation is that it has employed many more people than that. There is no sign up saying "Your Stimulus Money At Work" but there ought to be.

Should have been done 30 years ago. I would like to see more if this, like exposing the christian madrassas that pass for schools. The christian taliban that builds a $25M? museum to show evolution is wrong (My note: this person is referencing the AiG Creation Museum) . The christian 'national prayer breakfasts' that promote a Jesus for the powerful and wealthy. This cult needs the anti-septic of sunshine. Oh please Oliver Stone, please do a modern remake of Elmer Gantry. Please! ;)

Finally a Democrat that understands how to defuse a Republican. You frighten the paranoid base of their party.

Ahh yeah.  The Right, the Tea Partiers, Republicans - shame on us all for being the party of hate! This is the main difference I see between the two political ideologies - one side is trying to reach out to the others, educate them about whats going on, while the other side is filled with venomous hate. I'll leave it to you to figure out which party is which.

It Doesn't Matter

Recently I was invited to join a grass roots organization in its attempt to hold congress accountable and force it to maintain a healthy budget.  I declined the request.

Ideological Indoctrination

The textbook used for my political science class - Introduction to American Government - is Keeping the Republic, 3rd Brief Edition written by Christine Barbour and Gerald C. Wright. For verification purposes, here's a link to it's listing on Amazon.com. I'm simply going to post verbatim some of what the authors are telling their readers. I'll post my own comments as well.

In the introduction to chapter 2 of the book, the authors spend a couple paragraphs discussing Timothy McVeigh and the terrorist act that he committed. Following that, the authors write:

McVeigh's claim to be protecting the U.S. Constitution against the U.S. government itself puts him in the company of thousands of American militia members, everyday men and women who say that they are the ideological heirs of the American Revolution ... Today's so-called Patriot groups claim that the federal government has become as tyrannical as the British government ever was, that it deprives citizens of their liberty and over-regulates their everyday lives (Barbour Pg. 41).

Sound familiar, friends? There's more.

They go so far as to claim that federal authority is illegitimate. Militia members reject a variety of federal laws, from those limiting the weapons that individual citizens can own, to those imposing taxes on income, to those requiring the registration of motor vehicles. They maintain that government should stay out of individual lives, providing security at the national level perhaps, but allowing citizens to regulate and protect their own lives. Some militias go even further. Many militia members are convinced, for instance, that the United Nations is seeking to take over the United States (and that the top U.S. officials are letting this happen)(Barbour p. 41). - emphasis mine.

As can be seen, if you feel that the government is huge, that it is illegally regulating intimate aspects of private citizens' lives, that it should only provide protection, and that the United Nations is a corrupt organization bent on the "New World Order," and that our leaders have not been preventing this (NAFTA, Global Warming, etc), then you are part of a militia. That's right, fellow Tea Party compatriots, this book is talking about you.

The book then focuses on the early history of the United States:

Schoolchildren in the United States have had the story of the American founding pounded into their heads. From the moment they start coloring grateful Pilgrims and cutting out construction paper turkeys in grade school, the founding is a recurring focus of their education, and with good reason. Democrat societies...rely on the consent of their citizens to maintain lawful behavior and public order. A commitment to the rules and goals of the American system requires that we feel good about that system. What better way to stir up good feelings and patriotism than by recounting thrilling stories of bravery and derring-do on the part of selfless heroes dedicated to the cause of American liberty?

The history of the American founding has been told from many points of view. You are probably most familiar with this account: The early colonists escaped to America to avoid religious persecution in Europe. Having arrived on the shores of the New World, they built communities that allowed them to practice their religions in peace and govern themselves as free people. When the tyrannical British king made unreasonable demands on the colonists, they had no choice but to protect their liberty by going to war and by establishing a new government of their own.

But sound historical evidence suggests that the story is more complicated...After much struggle among themselves, the majority of Americans decided that those agendas could be better and more profitable carried out if they broke their ties with England (Barbour pg. 42,43). Emphasis mine.

This is indoctrination, pure and simple. Instead, let the facts speak for themselves. One must simply read the Declaration of Independence to see the truth as to why our Founding Fathers chose independence. Among some of the reasons listed:

  • He has refused his Assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.
  • He has forbidden his Governors to pass Laws of immediate and pressing importance, unless suspended in their operation till his Assent should be obtained; and when so suspended, he has utterly neglected to attend to them.
  • He has called together legislative bodies at places unusual, uncomfortable, and distant from the depository of their Public Records, for the sole purpose of fatiguing them into compliance with his measures.
  • He has dissolved Representative Houses repeatedly, for opposing with manly firmness his invasions on the rights of the people.
  • He has made Judges dependent on his Will alone for the tenure of their offices, and the amount and payment of their salaries.
  • He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people and eat out their substance.
  • For taking away our Charters, abolishing our most valuable Laws and altering fundamentally the Forms of our Governments:
  • For suspending our own Legislatures, and declaring themselves invested with power to legislate for us in all cases whatsoever.
The "He" referred to in the Declaration is the King of England. What I have listed above is only a smattering of the reasons our founders gave. Yet it is quite plain to see that the founders were concerned with their liberties, not with certain "agendas." To say otherwise is to re-write history in the shadow of ideologies that deserve to remain within the darkness from which it sprouts.

The book continues on within chapter 2 describing the "evolution" of the U.S. Constitution. It brings to light the Articles of Confederation which is described as: our first constitution, created the kind of government the founders...preferred. The rules...shows the states' jealousy of their power (Barbour pg. 50). Emphasis mine

The description continues with how the states placed an emphasis on retaining their own powers by not relinquishing it to a higher authority. A negative emphasis is placed upon that stance while also pointing out the true facts that there were problems with the original documents. However, the text diverges into a "blame game" where the rich were ultimately responsible for the issues the nation was facing at the time.

The radical poverty of some Americans seemed particularly unjust to those hardest hit, especially in the light of the rhetoric of the Revolution about equality for all (Barbour pg. 51).

The writers obvious intent is to show that there was an extreme imbalance concerning wealth which was unconnected to the claims of those who advocated for a revolution. Notice the strong emphasis on the descriptives "radical poverty" and "rhetoric." While there was indeed injustice under the Articles of Confederation which lead to Shay's Rebellion, things were not as dire as described by the authors.

Keeping the Republic then gives a brief summary of the debates leading to the writing of the Constitution. It mentions the Virginia Plan (stating a preference for large, more prosperous states) and the New Jersey Plan (described as a reinforcement, not a replacement of the Articles of Confederation). Once again, the wording reveals the ideology of the text book's authors.

It then goes on to give a brief description of the Constitution - the articles, what powers they grant, etc. While describing powers granted, the authors delve into how the Constitution can be amended. They state, and I quote:

amendability - that is, the fact that founders provided for a method of amendment, or change, that allows the Constitution to grow and adapt to new circumstances. In fact, they provided for two methods: the formal amendment process outlined in the Constitution, and an informal process that results from the vagueness of the document and the evolution of the role of the courts (Barbour pg. 63, 64).

Notice something here? This is the liberal ideology which states that the United States Constitution is a "living document," and as such can be interpreted differently over time. In fact, there is only one way for the Constitution to be changed, and that is through an act of Congress. Activist judges such as we have today are violating the Constitution by applying their personal spin while "interpreting." Yet judges are not the only ones at fault for this. A very recent example can be given in relation to the health care debates.

In October of 2009, a reporter from CNS asked Pelosi where the Constitution authorizes government to force citizens to purchase health insurance. Her response was, "Are you serious? Are you serious?" The article goes on to state: Pelosi's press secretary later responded to written follow-up questions from CNSNews.com by emailing CNSNews.com a press release on the “Constitutionality of Health Insurance Reform,” that argues that Congress derives the authority to mandate that people purchase health insurance from its constitutional power to regulate interstate commerce.

This is a prime example of what happens when people "interpret" the Constitution as a "living document." In addition to effectively proclaiming the Constitution as a changing document, the authors also give validity to the courts in creating law.

Naturally, by establishing how a given law is to be understood, the courts (the agents of judicial power) end up making law as well. Our constitutional provisions for the establishment of the judiciary are brief and vague (Barbour pg. 60).

As can be seen, a particular ideology is taught to university students to view those who oppose government control over their lives as wrong (referencing McVeigh), that the history "pounded into our children" is wrong, a "jealous view" of states rights is extreme, the rich have always oppressed the poor, that the Constitution is a vague document open to interpretation, and that judges have the right to create laws.

The Truth Shall Set Us Free!

With all the gloom and doom possessing the news in America, something great is finally hitting the airwaves and print! As covered extensively on Drudge and WND, ACORN is going down – hard.

We all have heard how ACORN has used bribery and voter intimidation to have elections swung in their direction. In addition, we are well aware of two brave college students, posing as a pimp and prostitute, which went under cover to expose this underhanded organization. Now it has come to light that just as ACORN was about to be investigated, they threw out thousands of sheets of documentation, un-shredded, into a public dumpster.

From biggovernment.com:

Shockingly, we now learn that the ACORN office in National City (San Diego County) engaged in a massive document dump on the evening of October 9th, containing thousands upon thousands of sensitive documents, just days prior to the Attorney General’s visit.

BigGovernment.com has learned that not only did this document dump occur, but the documents in question were irresponsibly and brazenly dumped in a public dumpster, without considering laws and regulations as to how sensitive information should be treated
I am a local licensed private investigator. I took it upon myself to keep an eye on what the local ACORN office was up to, in light of the release of the undercover videos. I retrieved these documents from the public dumpster.

I strongly urge that you view the full article at the link above. In addition to the facts, video has been posted.

The hammer is coming down hard on this corrupt organization. BigGovernment.com states that they will release more information over time. Also stated is that that they have some very damaging documentation in their possession that, unless ACORN is investigated, will be released during the 2010 elections. Lets face it folks, the Democrat party and their extremely radical power base is going down hard and fast.

In other news, SEIU, the union that was Obama’s strong backers and primary beneficiaries of his current presidency, is also being exposed. With a hat tip to Michelle Malkin who first brought this story to the national spotlight, the Morning Call reports:

In pursuit of an Eagle Scout badge, Kevin Anderson, 17, has toiled for more than 200 hours hours over several weeks to clear a walking path in an east Allentown park.

Little did the do-gooder know that his altruistic act would put him in the cross hairs of the city's largest municipal union.

Nick Balzano, president of the local Service Employees International Union, told Allentown City Council Tuesday that the union is considering filing a grievance against the city for allowing Anderson to clear a 1,000-foot walking and biking path at Kimmets Lock Park.

"We'll be looking into the Cub Scout or Boy Scout who did the trails," Balzano told the council.

SEIU thugs have attacked peaceful protesters during the summer Tea Parties, used intimidation tactics during elections, and are wholly, in my strong and unapologetic opinion, corrupt.

However nothing can be hidden forever and thankfully the corruption of this administration as well as its supporters is being tossed into the light of Truth.

The question I want to pose to you is this: Are you willing, regardless of your political affiliation, to accept what has been happening in this country? Are you willing to stand back and claim that it is only the “fringe” that is causing these problems or instead are you willing to be intellectually honest and admit that this is the most corrupt government ever in the history of the United States? Are you willing to swallow your pride and perhaps long standing hatred of the opposite political party and join hands with your fellow citizens to fight this evil? The facts are plain to see for anyone who is willing to look. All the information that you need to make an honest decision is readily available. Many people from all over the political spectrum have banded together to fight this corruption which resides in the highest offices of American power. It doesn’t matter if you are a Democrat, Republican, Independent, Libertarian, Constitutionalist, etc. This has gone beyond all political parties. What is at stake here is your freedom.

During the early stages of the Revolutionary war, there were two sides: the Liberals and the Conservatives. During that period, the Liberals were the ones actively pushing for independence while the Conservatives resisted such change. Yet as the obvious corruption from the crown became more and more apparent, those sides banded together. They united as one in both opinion and force of arms. They valued freedom above “party loyalty.” While there were the Conservative extremists who would continue to back the Crown no matter what, the majority of the colonials knew that liberty was at stake. In spite of their differences they banded together wrote the Declaration of Independence.

Today we are witnessing a similar, and perhaps more frightening, display of corruption from within our government. Now is the time to work together regardless of our differing opinions. Those who fought, sacrificed and died for our freedoms displayed by example that those who truly love liberty can and must work together.

Do you love liberty? Do you value freedom? Do you truly want the government to tell you what you can eat, drink, smoke, drive, wear, etc. al.? Or do you want the freedom to make your own decisions and have the self satisfaction and pride that comes along with working through your own problems and then prospering? For every control we give the government, it is a freedom which you and I relinquish. How many freedoms are you willing to hand over before you finally say, “enough is enough!”?

The Truth shall set you free!

I felt that it is fitting to repost an entry I wrote on August 24th of this year. It is titled, "Freedom's Call."

These are the times that try men’s souls: The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of his country; but he that stands it Now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict the more glorious the triumph.

Thomas Paine, The Crisis, December 1776

An echo from two-hundred thirty-three years in the past resonates today in the hearts of men and women, patriots, soldiers, warriors - defenders of freedom. Thus is our call to battle. Like patriots of old, we are called upon this day to face the forces of tyranny.

The enemy is vast and well entrenched. From youth, our children are raised in government institutions, taught government policy, shown government lies, and brainwashed to see Truth as evil.

From the vast halls of printing presses from New York through Los Angeles, the liberal ideologue of lies spews forth its venom, slaying citizens where they exist – their homes, places of worship or employment.

The bastions of higher education have transformed into breeding grounds of communistic ideologies. Within theses formerly sacred walls, the promoters become enforcers of demonic thought, praising the tyrants of freedom’s cry.

Deeply entrenched within the very wellspring of government policy, the enemies of freedom rule with a fist of iron. With a fanatic determination, they seek to remove every historical vestige of America’s founding principles. These include our nation’s reliance upon God and the Holy Scriptures as this nation’s primary influence, self reliance through hard work and individual achievement, as well as the strong, rugged character that has defined this country since before its inception.

This war will not be easily won, as it is indeed a war that we find ourselves in. The casualties of which have already been felt. The primal element of liberty, the ability to speak out against those who would destroy our very country, has been hampered.

In addition, the proponents of freedom have been marked as un-American terrorists, unworthy of respect. Time and time again, they are informed that they do not speak for the country as a whole, and are instead an “angry mob,” which should be dealt with accordingly. The suppressors of freedom have been advised that when they are hit, they should hit back twice as hard.

As this war progresses, more freedoms will be lost, while the persecution of patriots will increase. Indeed, this is not a conflict for the faint of heart!

Yet this is a war that can, and must be won! Our armory is vast, containing beyond two-hundred years of American history. We have our Constitution, the principles and actions of our Founding Fathers, and above all, our faith in the Divine Creator who formed this nation to be His mouthpiece to the world during the time of the Gentiles.

We must not let ourselves be intimidated by the enemies of freedom.

  • It is imperative that we instruct our children on the history of this great nation. We must instill within them the same principles our fore-fathers held. We must lead by example as we boldly step forward and refuse to be silenced.
  • When those in power hold their public meetings, we must continue to appear in force.
  • We must educate our family, friends and neighbors by engaging in open dialogue.
  • We must be diligent in our efforts to remove corruption from its seat of power, replacing evil with liberty.
  • We must be careful to wage this war with facts, not speculations based upon third -hand sources. Before any discussion is engaged, arm yourself with facts then present them in an nonthreatening manner.
  • Unify the Conservative community. If there are dissenters, confront them. Now is not the time for infighting. There is no room in any army for those who would undermine or strive against it.

I will not lie to you. Some of us will end up paying a heavy price in this fight for freedom. You may very well end up being such a martyr. Yet consider how our actions will influence the history of this nation. Will we shirk the duty our fore-fathers placed upon us in the interest of self preservation? Or will we endure to the end, that the descendents of our children may enjoy the freedom which we are so quick to profess a love for?

This war is unlike any other. It is not fought with instruments of death, but with ideas. The blood spilled is our freedom; the cries of agony are the cries of those who love that which this country has always represented. Will you stand idly by, watching others fight the battle for you, or will you consider the importance of our cause and join us?

The Revolution was effected before the war commenced. The Revolution was in the minds and hearts of the people….This radical change in the principles, opinions, sentiments, and affections of the people was the real American Revolution.

Words of Wisdom

Yesterday I had the honor of conversing with a man of great wisdom.

We were discussing politics during which he made a comment concerning the main difference between conservatives and liberals. He said:

“Liberals do not believe in God. Instead of looking towards Him for their security, they look towards the government to provide it, willing to give up their freedoms in the process. Those who do believe in God are almost always conservatives, knowing that man is filled with sin.”

While there are exceptions to this on both sides (some liberals do believe in God, while some conservatives do not), for the majority, this is an apt description.

The left’s rabid hatred of the right is quite evident in daily life. One needs only to view the liberal media of ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, and MSNBC to witness this. Upon browsing the internet and reading the news, one witnesses comments made by those who hold the liberal mindset to be filled with unreasoning hatred. Indeed, even on my blog such hate filled comments are made.

In addition, attacks on Christianity are mounting. Ignoring the devastation caused by humanistic faiths such as Socialism, Communism, and Humanism, hate filled attacks are consistently practiced. The Bible and Christianity have been ripped from public life. The Christian values of life itself have been replaced with atheistic views whereby abortion is acceptable and children are taught that they have no meaning - that they are alive only by chance. They are told that there are no moral absolutes, and that when they die, it is all over. They will enter into oblivion.

Last night while I was reading the first letter to the churches written by the Apostle John, this wise man’s comments came to mind once more.

1 John 3:1 states:

Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

1 John 4:5-6 adds:

They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

The Apostle John put to light exactly what is happening in this day and age. The world doesn’t know God. They are unable to recognize the Truth.

If you examine Europe, Russia and the liberal “sanctuaries” within our very nation, the reality is self evident. They have turned their backs completely to God. What is the result? Loss of precious freedoms as they look toward mankind to solve their problems. They believe in the fable of the “goodness” of man. As referenced in 1 John 2:16, their focus is on what pleasures the flesh can give them. They have given themselves over to lust and pride. Thus homosexuality, rampant free sex, drug use, abortion and innumerable other actions such as these do reign. If anyone dares contradict them, to prevent them from perusing these selfish desires, they spew forth hate in a venomous stream.

Yet this was not so with the Founding Fathers of this country. They were well aware of man’s sinful nature. They knew without a doubt that this “Great Experiment” would not be successful if God was taken out of politics. Yet, this is what sinful man has indeed done.

The war of political viewpoints that this nation finds itself in is actuality a spiritual war. It is a war between satanic lies and the Truth of God. Thus, it is no wonder that the left hates the right. We hold to the truth of man’s state. We will not place our security in the hands of sinful man, and that very stance is what causes the left to hate us so.

1 John 3:13 states it clearly:

Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.

I am very thankful for my parents seeding within me a love for God and country. They taught me when I was young the Word of God. They continue to do so today. The wise man I mentioned in the beginning is my father. The words he mentioned were true, and though in humbleness he would disagree, his wisdom is indeed inspiring.

The Czars - Part 2

In the previous article, I left off with Cameron Davis who is the Great Lakes Czar. Please note - these are still those who have not yet been confirmed by congress.

Daniel Fried, Gitmo Closure Czar:

During an interview given to the extreme left, BBC, Mr. Fried reflected on his stance concerning Gitmo inmates.

Fried began by explaining that his job was “miserable,” because he was “cleaning up a problem” inherited from the Bush administration, which had nothing to do with advancing any positive aspects of US policy. “It’s not like we’re advancing liberty or making peace,” he said.

He also stated:

Daniel Fried: The detainees in Guantánamo run a spectrum. Some really are awful. Some qualify as “the worst of the worst,” and we’re going to put those on trial. Some, frankly, should not have been in Guantánamo for the past seven years.

Jon Manel: So they were innocent?

Daniel Fried: Innocent, guilt … I look at their files and some of them seem relatively benign, and I have in mind the Uighurs, in particular, but others …

Jon Manel: They’re the minority from China

Daniel Fried: That’s right, the Uighur minority from China, but if I had to describe — if there’s such a thing as an average Guantánamo detainee, it’s someone who was a volunteer, a low-level trainee or a very low-level fighter in a very bad cause, but not a hardened terrorist, not an organizer. Now it is those people whom we’re asking Europeans to take a look at, and each government has to evaluate the background of each individual and make a decision.

As usual, the Obama administration blames all the problems the United States is experiencing on the Bush administration. Although there were many stances that former President Bush took that I wholeheartedly disagree with, security is not one of them.

Mr. Fried claims that there is a distinction between “hardened terrorists” and those who were simply “volunteers” and “low level terrorists.” New flash: all of the terrorists in Gitmo volunteered their “services!” It doesn’t matter how “involved” you were, if you lifted only a “finger” in support of terrorist actions, you are a terrorist and should be treated as such!

Mr. Fried tries to justify his actions on his attempts to freeing certain individuals because they risk “…torture, or further arbitrary imprisonment, on their return.” Why is he actively trying to protect terrorists? How can releasing anyone who has shown their true colors back into society, untried, be considered in the best interests of the United States?

Nancy-Ann DeParle, Health Czar:

As reported by the NPR,

A former Tennessee state health commissioner, DeParle, 52, worked in various health jobs for most of the Clinton administration, first in the Office of Management and Budget and for three years as head of the agency that oversees Medicare and Medicaid.

…Unlike Sebelius, DeParle will not need to win Senate confirmation. But her activities since leaving government are likely to raise some eyebrows. She's served on an array of corporate boards of for-profit health companies, at least some of whose fates she will now help decide.

She joins Kathleen Sebelius who was:

A former Czar from the Clinton Administration, she is well known for her support of “abortion rights.”

But as a Democratic governor who supports abortion rights in a mostly Republican, mostly anti-abortion state, she has earned the enmity of anti-abortion groups.

Mary Kay Culp, executive director of Kansans for Life, says she thinks Sebelius is out of line with "mainstream America and the way they think, and a lot of damage can be done." She says the Department of Health and Human Services "is a huge department that oversees the FDA, where we've already seen abortion groups influence them a few years ago and put (the abortion pill) RU486 on a fast track to get approved, when cancer drugs wait for 10 years."

It is quite obvious where Obama plans to use these two women. Both are supporters for the murder of unborn babies, and will obviously push this agenda.

Click here for a relationship map concerning DeParle.

Dennis Ross, Middle East Czar:

Mr. Ross is an interesting contradiction in Obama’s Czar list. He is an avid supporter of Israel with a Jewish background. He has worked for both sides of the political spectrum, including Ronald Reagan’s administration. Initially, he was assigned as Obama’s envoy to Iran, perhaps because he supported opening “talks” with them:

With regard to the Iranians, we know that by not talking to Iran the U.S. did not improve the situation.

Yet as expected:

The Obama administration will announce that Ross has been reassigned to another position in the White House. In his new post, the former Mideast peace envoy under President Bill Clinton will deal primarily with regional issues related to the peace process.

Washington insiders speculate that a number of reasons moved the administration to reassign Ross. One possibility is Iran's persistent refusal to accept Ross as a U.S. emissary given the diplomat's Jewish background as well as his purported pro-Israel leanings.

No kidding! Not that I agree with any amount of “talks” with Iran’s oppressive government, it does cause me to wonder what Obama’s true stance is? He sends an envoy to the Iranians, one whom anyone with a grain of common sense knows will not be prosperous. While campaigning for president Obama also stated he was a staunch supporter of Israel, yet he has shown that is he quite indeed the opposite.

It is my personal belief that Obama has no intentions of supporting Israel, and willfully misused Mr. Ross in those dark ambitions, simply for political reasons.

George Mitchell, Middle-East Czar:

In a stark contrast to Mr. Ross, Mr. Mitchell espouses the Obama administration’s actual stance. The President himself stated:

"Now, understand that Sen. Mitchell is going to be fully empowered by me and fully empowered by Secretary Clinton," he said, appearing at the White House. "So when he speaks, he will be speaking for us."

George Mitchell has a solid track record concerning the Mid-East “peace process.”

Mitchell served as a Mideast envoy for the Bush administration, writing a 2001 report that called for a halt to Israeli settlements and greater Palestinian efforts to crack down on terror.

He also was a peace broker on Northern Ireland for President Clinton.

Also:

He recommended the Israelis lift the restrictions that prevent the Palestinians building up their economy, in the hope that creation of jobs might marginalise militants. He combined this with a call for a freeze on Jewish settlements on the West Bank, a proposal which could see early friction between the US and Israel if Netanyahu, who advocates settlement expansion, is elected.

Mitchell also called for the Palestinians to build up their security forces so they could crack down on militant groups such as Hamas and Islamic Jihad, in order to offer Israel the prospect of prolonged peace. But that proposal is infinitely more difficult to achieve now than when Mitchell first proposed it. Hamas has since taken over control of Gaza and the Palestinians are divided between Hamas and Fatah, the ruling group on the West Bank.

He wants to lift Israeli restrictions on the so called Palestinians and encourages them to build up their armory. Is there any wonder that there is now friction between the respective governments of the United States and Israel?

Earl Devaney, Stimulus Accountability Czar:

From The Wall Street Journal:

Earl Devaney, head of the administration's new Recovery Act Accountability and Transparency Board -- already dubbed the Rat Board -- spoke recently with Wall Street Journal reporter Neil King. A hard-nosed Interior Department inspector general, Mr. Devaney must assure that the spending on the $787 billion stimulus package proceeds smoothly and relatively fraud-free. Below, an edited transcript of their discussion.

You have got to be kidding me! Millions of dollars given to ACORN, millions given to a well known “financial institution,” along with millions more wasted, how has this joker made sure that the funds went out “smoothly and relatively fraud-free?”

He talks tough, but his actions speak more then words.

As the number of Obama’s Czars seems without end, I will continue this discussion another day.

My Observations of the Liberal Mindset - UPDATED

I have read quite a few articles by conservative pundits that claim the liberal mindset should be treated as a mental disorder. These pendants are serious. Yet, I’ll have to respectfully disagree. Instead, I’m going to write about my own observations and reveal the conclusion I have achieved.

I once dated a very liberal woman. How that came about, I’m still trying to understand. Yet it did open my eyes as to how they operate.

This woman, though very sweet, seems to have a complete lack of understanding as to why she opposes certain conservative representatives. She would routinely tell me how much she loathes someone such as Reagan, Rush Limbaugh, or numerous other conservatives. When asked why, she would say something along the lines of “I don’t know why, I just do!” When I pushed for more information, or attempted to voice my opinion in a neutral way, she would become irate and state that she no longer wanted to talk about it. One time while we were in my vehicle, I tuned to Rush and we listened to him for a few minutes before I informed her who he was. She had no clue!

I did not get into many discussions with her parents, but they were of the mindset of accepting everyone. “Everyone can change” was their motto, and while I applaud this, it points to a position of extreme optimism. Her father does not think highly of Reagan, yet when asked, I did not receive a reason why except that Reagan was “bad for America.”

Throughout the nation, liberals and progressives paint conservatives and those who oppose Obama as racists. In the recent Tea Party here in Pocatello, there was a man driving around in a truck asking us when we would be holding our KKK gathering.

Later on, a blog was posted in our local newspaper by a supporter of the Tea Party. He posted nothing racial. Yet a commenter joined in and called us racist bigots. He stated that he watched the event from the outside. I think I saw this man, as I was a greeter near one of the entrances. I remember seeing a man leaning against the fence with a perpetual scowl on his face. He stayed for no longer then twenty minutes. That is hardly enough time to find out what our Tea Party was all about.

While riding the transit bus around Idaho State University, I overheard two students talk about how much they loathed Rush Limbaugh. They took immense pleasure in tearing this man down. Yet as I listened, they gave no reason as to why they hate him. They just used the same old and tried comments such as, “racist,” “bigot,” “drug addict,” etc, etc.

I have come to the firm conclusion that Liberalism is a state of mind for those who are controlled by their emotions, not reason. They’ll listen to a socialist professor tear someone down, soak up the hate, and then spread it. They won’t investigate for themselves, and if one approaches them and tries to have a reasonable discussion, inevitably they will resort to froth spitting anger.

What other answer can we give for the hate that the left has been spewing (since before my birth in 1975)? What other answer can I give to the socialist feelings of entitlement? In response to conservatives, they push their anger and hatred off on us. They say that we are doing everything out of hate. They do not seem to understand that one can hate a policy yet not hate the person themselves. They do not understand that we are fighting a dangerous shift into communism, and that we are doing this in order to preserve freedom – ours and theirs.

This quite easily explains their stances on:

  • Abortion
  • Illegal immigration
  • The homosexual lifestyle
  • The destruction of marriage as the world has always known it
  • The push for national health care
  • Hatred of Christianity

I can go on and on. Yet each of those positions represents an emotional response - “I want,” “I feel,” “Chaos,” “I deserve,” and “No one will tell me what is wrong, that is up to me to decide!”

How can one approach a person caught in such throws of emotion and have a rational discussion? That is the question that truly needs answered.
---
Update - As expected when I posted this a few days ago, I received a lot of hate mail from the left. Members of the liberal mindset also posted negative comments on websites where I posted links to this article. Some accused conservatives as being the the ones "caught in the throws of emotion." Others classified this post as "drivel."

In an attempt to open discussions with one of them, a few days ago I replied to a comment stating that as an American I would like to discuss our political differences. The person responded with the common liberal stances on abortion, health care reform, gun control, etc.

I then posted my response, which were rather lengthily, and thanked that person for willing to discuss the issues. I advised that I was looking forward to their response. Two days have now gone by without receiving any.

Thus, even from this most recent "discussion," I am still forced to maintain the position I stated above. Those from the left do not seem truly willing to have open discussions. Instead, they will continue to respond with emotion. It is unfortunate, as I know many on the right are willing to discuss these issues, not just debate them.

Freedom's Call

Before any discussion is engaged, arm yourself with facts then present them in an unthreatening manner.
