Unfortunate Predictions are Becoming Reality – Part 1

Immediately after Obama was confirmed as America’s next president, I went to my computer and wrote a quick blurb. At the time, I was quite depressed. Thus, there were many typos and my grammar wasn’t in top form. However, I did make a few predictions and it saddens me to say, they are coming true.

Prediction #1:

1. - Socialized Medicine: Yup! Everyone who can't afford insurance will now get it thanks to "Big Daddy."

We are all aware of what is happening in congress. The evil trinity of Obama, Pelosi and Reid are trying to ram “health care reform” down our throats. For a while, there were so called “blue dog” democrats who prevented the bill from being passed. Yet, Obama had a nice little chat with them, and now they’re all for it. Unless something dramatic happens, look for America’s health care to be forever changed once congress returns from recess.

Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y has gone so far as to proclaim:

"We will have contingencies in place. These plans will likely be considered as a last resort, but they are on the table," Schumer told reporters on a conference call. He declined to elaborate.

What is he talking about? He’s stating that the Democrats are ready and willing to push the legislature through without any Republican support.

Schumer said Democratic leaders continue to look at invoking a procedural maneuver that would allow them to pass the health bill with 51 instead of 60 votes. That route is viewed as a last resort since it limits what legislative measures would be allowed and any broad policy initiatives would probably have to be limited.

Even more disturbing is that some House Republicans have proposed a health care reform bill of their own.

House Republicans on Wednesday unveiled a $700 billion healthcare plan that would offer tax credits to help people buy insurance, yet unlike Democratic proposals, wouldn't require either individuals or employers to get coverage.

Don’t they understand that Americans do not want this kind of health care reform? After the wasteful spending by the Obama administration on bail outs for which we didn’t have the money, the Republicans want our country to spend even more!

The health care system we have now is fine! As a matter of fact, it’s better then fine, it’s the best in the world! People from many nationalities come to this country each year to receive the health care that their own socialized programs can’t provide. Yet Brendan Buck who is a spokesman for the House Republican Study Committee said:

"We are introducing this bill because we support health care reform, but in way that empowers patients."

This is the wrong type of reform that our health care requires. Instead, we need to make sure that those who do not have legal residency in the United States cannot walk into an emergency room to receive free treatment at the tax payers' expense.

USA Today reported on January 22, 2008 that:

In Texas, where the state comptroller estimates illegal immigrants cost hospitals $1.3 billion in 2006, the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston is considering denying cancer care to such immigrants.

As well –

In California, a 2004 study by the Federation for American Immigration Reform put the state's annual cost at $1.4 billion. Similar studies in Colorado and Minnesota in 2005 came up with much smaller estimates: $31 million and $17 million, respectively.

This is just a sampling from a few states. Now try to grasp how much is being lost each year in every state! You’re taxes are footing the bill for this.

Yet the current proposed health care reform bill, page 170, lines 1-3 “Stipulates that all non-resident aliens pay nothing (we foot the bill)”. To view an excellent break down of what this bill demands, go here.

Conservatives and even some liberals who are aware of the immense threat of “health care reform” are spontaneously protesting across the nation at town hall meetings and other gatherings.

However, top Democrat leadership is firing back by accusing its opponents of “ditch(ing) their civic manners.”

WASHINGTON (AP) - The Senate's most powerful Democrat on Thursday scolded health care protesters dogging his party's lawmakers at local meetings, arguing that some critics on the political right have run out of ideas—and ditched their civic manners. Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada accused the protesters of trying to "sabotage" the democratic process.

"These are nothing more than destructive efforts to interrupt a debate that we should have, and are having," Reid said. "They are doing this because they don't have any better ideas. They have no interest in letting the negotiators, even though few in number, negotiate. It's really simple: they're taking their cues from talk show hosts, Internet rumor-mongerers ... and insurance rackets."

What debate? What democratic process? As I’ve already shown above, the Democrats are ready to push through a bill without any bi-partisan support!

As for abandoning our civic manners, it’s not the protesters who are doing so, but the supporters of the bill! Kenneth Gladney, a black conservative was peacefully selling protest flags and was attacked by union thugs. Click here to watch graphic, raw video footage of the attack and its aftermath. Warning, this is not for the weak of heart.

Some Democrats and even President Obama have stated that their intention is not to eliminate private insurance, but to provide options to the public and provide coverage to those who are currently without.

Yet a video has recently surfaced on the internet that proves, from Obama’s own mouth, what their real intentions are.

This is just the beginning folks. Stay tuned for part two of my series, “Unfortunate Predictions are Becoming Reality” as I discuss how the Obama administration is playing patty cake with the criminals of the world.
