Why Islam Must be Criticized

The Muslim Ummah is utterly intolerant to criticisms of the Quran, Prophet Muhammad and Islam. Nonetheless, there are individuals who are brave enough to face the challenge of exercising their freedom of speech, their freedom of expression. Ibn Warraq, Ayan Hisri Ali, Wafa Sultan and Maryam Namazie are some of the courageous individuals who have chosen not to indulge in appeasing Muslims and political correctness. They have chosen to speak the historical, factual truth about Muhammadan Islam. And, unsurprisingly, they have been living under constant danger to their lives.

Another brave individual is the Danish cartoonist Kurt Westergaard. He drew the cartoons of Muhammad that appeared in a Danish newspaper in 2006 that hurled the entire Muslim world into violent frenzy. They started demonstrations and demanded death of the cartoonists and their publishers. On January 2, 2010, a Somali man, armed with an axe and knife, entered Westergaard's house and tried to kill him.

And They Call Us Crazies....

From WND:

Winston Steward, 51, of Frazier Park, Calif., told the Cleveland Plain-Dealer he made up the name "Ellie Light" to protect himself from criticism and possible physical attacks from "conservatives." He said he used fake addresses across the country to get local newspapers to publish his letters. - emphasis mine

Um yeah. I suggest you folks read the rest of the article. It brings out some really fascinating stuff about Steward, how he's connected to the DailyKOS, as well as a progressive socialist group, and much much more!

These people are nuts, absolutely nuts!

The Invisible Man

Is it just me? I've only been around for a little over three decades, so my memories obviously don't go as far back as the majority of Americans, yet this is what I remember:

President Reagan was an obvious and active force in American Policy. In addition to his many speeches as well as meetings with world leaders, he stayed in the forefront of the American eye. His policies were responsible for the collapse of the Soviet Union, he beefed up our military, he presided over the refurbishment of the Statue of Liberty - the list goes on and on.

President George H.W. Bush was also in the forefront of the American eye. His dealings with Iraq, his meetings with world leaders, his policies, they didn't just seem to fade away.

President William Jefferson Clinton was most assuredly in the forefront of the American eye. I'm not even discussing his many sex craven habits opened to public scrutiny.

President George W. Bush was yet one more American President that we were all aware of. Iraq, 9-11, his policies, his meetings with world leaders, all of them showed an active President.

Each of the men listed above, love them or hate them, all showed a personal strength and power in American politics. Where is President Barak Hussein Obama?

President Obama's star power seemed to explode in the middle of 2008, with women literally fainting at his feet during his election campaign. When he was elected, the media and liberals the world over praised him as the next messiah. For the first six months or so in office, liberal women blushed at the very thought of Obama, while liberal men spent nights dreaming of how cool it would be if they could only look like him! Then something seemed to happen. His polling numbers started to decline, and all of a sudden, his star power was gone. Even a personal appeal to the IOC could not persuade the voting members to allow the U.S. to host the Olympics in Chicago (Perhaps they were fearing for the safety of the world's athletes?). Stumping in New Jersey, Virginia and Massachusetts could not persuade the voters to herald in a new Democrat, and his once vaunted "health care reform" has suddenly become dead in the water.

When the average American ponders this current administration, "Obama" does not come to mind. Instead, names such a Pelosi and Reid take center stage. And why not? They have been the obvious political force behind the slew of new legislation flooding the halls of congress, while the "Sainted One" seems to hide in the shadows.

During his first year in office, President Obama made a whopping 411 Speeches, comments or remarks; He held 42 news conferences, and 158 interviews. Yet the majority of those occurred during the first six months of his Presidency. The American public has heard very little from him as of late.

Indeed, during the recent Massachusetts Senatorial election, Democrats were virtually pleading with Obama to not show his face - to not stump for Coakley. Yet when the weekend before the election came about, it was obvious that Brown was taking the lead in the polls. Thus, having no choice, they sent in Obama.

But, with the race this tight, Democrats needed Obama to rally their loyalists. That said, the president's popularity isn't what it was when he took office on Jan. 20, 2009. Polls now show Obama's job approval hovering around 50 percent or below it. In Massachusetts, a Suffolk University poll released Thursday showed that only 48 percent approve of Obama's performance.

Obama's ability to persuade voters to back Democrats if he's not on the ballot is in question. In November, New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine and Democrat Creigh Deeds, the Democratic nominee to replace Democratic Gov. Tim Kaine in Virginia, both lost even though Obama campaigned hard for them.

During my three decades on this Earth, I cannot for the life of me recall any time where a President's own people did not want him to stump for their candidate!

To be sure, the media continues to push his "sainthood," yet Obama has lost all connection with the majority of Americans. Innumerable stories are being told about people who regret the vote they cast in his favor. Mention 2009, and Tea Parties, ACORN, Pelosi and Reid will be on the tips of most peoples' tongues. Sure, they'll mention that the first black president was elected, and they'll be able to recall at least part of his name, (but don't dare mention his middle name!) yet other than that, there's not much to say.

It boggles the mind how infective this President has been. With filibuster-proof control over both the House and Senate, Obama should have been able to get what ever he wanted. Sure, he managed to bankrupt America with his numerous failed bailouts (which had money going to non-existent zip codes!), but what else has he managed to accomplish? Other then a bunch of apologies to the world for America and a few bows here and there, I can't think of a single thing!

Is it me, or has the "Messiah" transformed into the ineffective "Invisible Man?"

Read Between The Lines

Hillary Clinton is making headlines advocating an uncensored Internet.

"We stand for a single Internet where all of humanity has equal access to knowledge and ideas," said Clinton in a major address that cited China, Iran, Saudi Arabia and Egypt among countries that censored the Internet or harassed bloggers.

While on the surface this is something that I think even Conservatives can agree with her on, something doesn't feel right. Perhaps it's due to the fact that in 1998 she stated (advocating a censored Internet), "We are all going to have to rethink how we deal with this, because there are all these competing values ... Without any kind of editing function or gatekeeping function, what does it mean to have the right to defend your reputation?"

Or perhaps its strange hearing this from Clinton when in the middle of last year, the Obama administration (of whom she is the Secretary of State) asked citizens to spy on each other. That censorship and spying campaign was only halted after a huge uproar of protest.

Perhaps Clinton sounds insincere in her defense of Google's decision to no longer censor itself in China, as today Google continues to censor searches concerning Islam. Don't believe me? There is a really simple test for you to perform. Go to Google and type in "Christianity is" and take a gander of the results that the search engine's "helpful" assistant provides. Now type in "Judaism is" for similar results. Now type in "Islam is." Whoa, what's that? Nothing comes up at all! Robert Spencer at Jihad Watch has been communicating with Google about this, yet

Thirteen days, and a week during which presumably the techie masterminds at Google have been on this case, and still Google can't seem to figure out how to wire their search box so that it pops up suggestions for "Islam is" that are comparable to the suggestions you get for "Buddhism is" or "Hinduism is" or "Christianity is."

As of today, the count is up to sixteen days without a change. Methinks that Google has no intention what so ever of "fixing the bug."

So while on the surface Hillary sounds sincere concerning a free Internet, her actions, as well as the actions of the Obama administration and Google itself says something completely different. Perhaps when the before mentioned begin to actually support freedom instead of suppressing it, people may begin to take her a bit more seriously.

Continuation of McCain Story...

Michelle Malkin continues with the McCain story here. What is interesting is that she has informed us of newly elect Sen. Scott Brown's [R, MA] support for McCain. Every time I start to get my hopes up for the Republican party, they always seem to find a way to revert to their habits of the past 20 years.

I will be keeping a close eye on what happens with McCain. This much is certain, my support for Palin and Brown has lessened considerably.

Jan 21, 2010

Sarah, What Are You Doing?

Something is amiss folks. Sarah Palin has stated that she is going to stump for Sen. John McCain [R, AZ]. I am forced to ask, why? From her Facebook page:

I look forward to helping Governors like Rick Perry in Texas, Representatives like Michele Bachmann in Minnesota, and heroes and statesmen like Senator John McCain. We will support these candidates and others so that they can continue to fight for our American values. - Emphasis Mine

Ok, lets forget "ancient history" concerning McCain. Lets instead review recent history. One of the main reasons Obama won the presidency was because McCain was such a weak opponent. Being well known as a RHINO (Republican In Name Only), he failed to mobilize the Conservative base. McCain is also well known for his record of supporting Democrat agendas in preference to Republican ones - until he gets caught, that is. Most of that time, he doesn't even mind that he was "caught." As well are the many stories of the man who simply cannot control his anger - who abuses staffers as well as junior congressmen.

In addition, the United States Supreme court yesterday rightfully struck down large portions of the McCain-Feingold campaign finance reform law, stating that those provisions were unconstitutional. That hideous piece of legislation had Conservatives howling mad ever since it became law in 2002. It severely limited 1st amendment rights by preventing corporations and labor unions from paying for electoral adds within 60 days of an election. As well, it had many bloggers and internet news sites nervous of supporting political candidates within that time frame. Basically, it allowed government to regulate the free speech of the private sector.

What was McCain's response to this? "I am disappointed by the decision of the Supreme Court and the lifting of the limits on corporate and union contributions."

Sarah Palin has long been touted as an independent voice, with Stuart Williamson writing for the American Thinker in July of 2009:

She is unswervingly honest. She hates liars and cheats. She spent many years exposing powerful entrenched opponents in a state whose politics had become sleazy, and has a keen nose for corruption What she says, she means. She makes no idle promises. This honesty is what brought her into politics in the first place.

I must ask, how is stumping for McCain an act of honesty? How is promoting a liar and cheat in any way ethical? How can supporting McCain, who attempted to influence a socialist democrat to jump parties, an act of honor?

Many conservatives, myself included, have applauded the stances that Palin has apparently taken in the past. Yet now with this move for support of McCain, I am forced to take a closer look at her as well as her policies. If she is willing to stump for McCain, what else is she willing to do?

Power To The People!

Please allow me to steal a phrase commonly used by the left-wing nuts these past few decades - Power To The People! Tonight, America truly saw what that power is.

The nation held it's collective breath during the final weeks in the run up to the Massachusetts Senate election. At stake was more than the failed legacy of the Kennedy clan. At stake was more than Massachusetts' political "concoction." At stake tonight was the future of the United States of America.

With Democrats blaming Bush for everything that has happened (regardless of the fact that the Democrats held control of Congress for almost 4 years), Coakley arrogantly "ran" her campaign with an obvious disdain for the citizens of her state. She made snide remarks concerning the Red Sox and their hallowed stadium, Fenway Park. As well, she insulted Republicans. She insulted Independents. She Insulted America.

For a long while, the Democrats did not want President Obama to even show his face in Massachusetts, but with the polls showing Coakley loosing steam to Brown, he rushed there over the weekend. As was obvious, an appearance from the "Great One" did not make any difference what so ever.

Tonight, Martha Coakley called to concede the race to Scott Brown. Therefore, there is now no reason what so ever for anyone to hold up Brown from being sworn in. Any Democrat who does this will show their blatant disregard for the American people as well as their desire to hold on to power for as long as possible. If this does indeed happen, Americans, strengthen your memory. Remember far into the future who did this and react accordingly.

Even now, Democrats are seeing the writing on the walls. Senator Jim Webb (D - Virginia) stated:

In many ways the campaign in Massachusetts became a referendum not only on health care reform but also on the openness and integrity of our government process. It is vital that we restore the respect of the American people in our system of government and in our leaders. To that end, I believe it would only be fair and prudent that we suspend further votes on health care legislation until Senator-elect Brown is seated.

Do not forget for an instance, America, that Webb was one of those who voted in favor for Obama's draconian "health care reform" bill! Many others like him are now going to voice their support for either delaying or halting the bill in it's tracks. They had the opportunity to do so earlier, but revealed their true character when they didn't. Now that they know without a doubt the direction that American is turning, they are going to do everything, say everything, they possibly can to retain their jobs. Do not let them! As they voted to remove your freedom - your liberty, they must not remain in office! The following is a list of people who voted "aye" for the diabolical health care reform bill. They must be removed!

I would also add to this list Arizona's Sen. John McCain as we don't need any more RHINOs. As well, Kentucky's Sen. Jim Bunning abstained from the health care vote, and should be kicked to the curb!

Now, when we vote these communists out, don't put just any "Joe" in their place. Make sure the person you are voting for will uphold the United States Constitution and also cherishes liberty. Research fully the background of every person who is running. Don't let some charismatic individual beguile you into believing that they truly care for liberty if that isn't the case!

All of that being said, I want to congratulate the citizens of Massachusetts for making one more stand for freedom. It is my prayer that the rest of the nation will follow suit!

Massachusetts, Will You Be The Next Ben Nelson?

Massachusetts, I am going to speak to you directly. Before doing so, please allow me to present my credentials.

I was born in Worcester, Ma on September 11, 1975 and am a descendant of William Bradford. For a short refresher, William Bradford was a leader of the settlers of Plymouth Colony. As such, Bradford was elected as Governor 30 times after the death of John Carver. The second signer and primary architect of the Mayflower Compact, Bradford penned the journal, "Of Plymouth Plantation." In addition, Bradford was the first to proclaim a day of Thanksgiving, of which our country now celebrates every November.

As one who was born in Massachusetts, I am a staunch supporter of the Boston Red Sox, The Boston Celtics, the New England Patriots, and the Boston Bruins. New England blood flows through my veins, and I am proud of the heritage from whence I come.

Within our state, history and pride runs deep. Reverently spoken are the exploits of our forefathers. Children are raised on tales which regale the exploits of John and Samuel Adams. Paul Revere's famous ride through the night while shouting, "The British are coming!" is as ingrained within us as our loathing for the New York Yankees! Plymouth Rock and the Mayflower are holy shrines to those who have their histories within this state - a state which boldly proclaims: By the sword we seek peace, but peace only under liberty! Daniel Webster, who proclaimed, "Liberty and Union, now and forever, one and inseparable," was located in Marshfield where his one clapboard building is now a National Historic Landmark.

Yet something has happened to the great commonwealth of Massachusetts since brave patriots rose up against the tyranny of the crown. You, the inheritors of this proud history, have turned your backs upon your forefathers. Once vigorously opposed to anyone who trampled your liberties, you have transformed from patriots who tossed tea laden barrels into the Boston harbor, to those who welcomed the Redcoats with open arms! You have forgotten your fiercely patriotic independence and are now loyalists, completely submissive to the crown. For what other explanation is there concerning your fanatical obsession for government entitlement programs? What other explanation is there for your once hallowed halls of government being run by those who wish to trample your liberties? Is there any other explanation as to why you continue to grasp on to the Kennedy legacy, a legacy which has proven to be corrupt beyond a shadow of a doubt? Sadly, Camelot ended with the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

President Obama's health reform is almost law. Behind closed doors, where liberty never flourishes, our personal freedoms are being decided by those who wish to change the very nation our forefathers fought and died for! At stake is more than our health; indeed what is at stake is liberty itself. Gone will be our choice for what medical care we can receive. That decision will rest in the hands of those who hold political power. Like you, the rest of the nation will no longer have the right to choose whether or not to purchase insurance (regardless of the need). Those who resist will face hefty fines and even the possibility of imprisonment. Medicare will be changed in a draconian manner, and your elders will suffer the consequences. You will have no say in the health care of your children, and your insurance premiums will skyrocket. Those of you who oppose abortion will be forced to pay for it regardless.

You will be taxed for four years before you see any benefits from this legislation. As well, Massachusetts will not be treated equally with the other states of the union, as Nebraska will be exempted from paying into the new Medicare fund, while other states such as New York will have to pay far less. Most evil of all is the lie that everyone will be covered by the transformed health care system. Indeed, millions will still remain uninsured!

Yet for all of that, you now have the opportunity to once more lead this nation towards freedom. For within your grasp has fallen the opportunity to once more fight for liberty's sake. Soon there will be an election for the former seat of the late Ted Kennedy. Democrat Martha Coakley has gone on record stating that she will make sure that Obama's health care reform will become law. Yet running against her is a patriot who shares the spirit of your ancestors. Republican Scott Brown has promised, that if elected, he will halt this bill in it's tracks.

Gone are the days of political partisanship. It is not important which party a candidate runs under. What is important is their stance in regards to the liberties of not only those in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, but for all us in this great Union of the United States. You have the chance to take on the mantle of John and Samuel Adams, Paul Revere, Daniel Webster, and William Bradford. Will you rise to the call of your ancestors? Will you boldly proclaim once more, "By the sword we seek peace, but peace only under liberty!"? Or will you be the next Ben Nelson and sell out not only your state, but your nation to the tyrants of liberty?

Yearly Pat Robinson Watch

Ever year I have done an examination on Pat and his many false prophecies. I have yet to come across any that he has yet to make this year, but I'm keeping track. However, considering what has happened in Haiti and Pat's abhorrent statement that the people brought it upon themselves, being "cursed of God," right now is the perfect time for me to answer this man.

Last year, I tore his current spread of "prophecies" apart. To further show that this man is a blatant liar, I will repost some of his comments, and then you can decide for yourself if this man speaks for God or not.

The Lord said the economy of your nation will recover. The steps taken will lead to a dramatic increase in the power of government. The people will welcome socialism in order to relieve their pain. Nothing will stand in the way of a plan by Obama to restructure the economy in the same fashion as the new deal in the 30’s.

Well, the economy has yet to recover. In fact, some analysts are comparing our current economic situation to that of the Great Depression. Far from accepting socialism, 2009 was a year of great uprising throughout the United States as patriots from every corner protested Obama's socialist movement. Even now, many Democrats are abandoning their long held party because of Obama's actions. No single poll anywhere shows any majority support for Obama's health reform plan.

The whole of Islam is weakening. The violence and bloodshed has turned many against this religion of hate. And the Lord said, ‘Expand your outreach to Muslims. They are ready to listen.’

Far from it, Pat. In fact, Islamic influences are spreading as an unchecked virus throughout the world. We have a president who bowed to their princes, and suicide attacks among countless other atrocities have steadily increased. Islam is far from weakening.

Great and cataclysmic things will become commonplace around the world. Poverty and misery will be wide spread. There has never been nor will there ever be a more propitious time for the gospel. People by the tens of millions will be seeking answers. They will gladly receive the forgiveness of sins bought by the death of Jesus Christ.

If anything, there has been more hatred shown towards Christ then any time previously. Poverty and misery is not wide spread. There has not been a great revival. Natural disasters have happened, but they are still far from commonplace.

I'm going to place it on the line here folks. This is a time to be very blunt. Pat is not a man of God. Indeed, according to scripture, he is a man of Satan. He is a liar, a false prophet, a spreader of hatred and a bigot in the full manner of the term. In the Old Testament, God ordained that men such as Pat should be killed. As we are not living under the Old Testament law, I do not want to see him murdered. What I do want to see happen is this: Pat Robinson, his 700 club, and any other organization affiliated with him in any way, should be boycotted. I firmly say that anyone who continues to support this man does not have the Spirit of God living within them.

Pat, I'm calling you out. If you have the guts to do so, you will answer these charges.

Could this be an example why?

So, I just finished studying for the night and decided to take a peek at the news. Following a trail of links, I come upon this "excellent" piece of "neutral" reporting from CNN. The reporter, Chris Morrow, decided to attend what I can only assume to be a porn star awards ceremony. Once there, Chris interviewed a few select attendees and questioned them on their opinions concerning the full body scanners the TSA wants to install at every airport. Obviously, the porn stars saw no problem with it. Gee, CNN. Do you honestly think that a bunch of people who make a living by having graphic sex videotaped and sold to perverts around the world are actually going to care if one more pervert sees them naked?

Could this be yet another example as to why Americans are choosing Fox News over CNN?

One Brit's Perspective on America

I ran across this article today written by a British citizen concerning his experiences in America. He does an excellent job contrasting them with the "British experience." Although his views seem to be pro-Obama and anti-Bush, his article does a wonderful job describing how great America is!

Letter From London - My American Friends

The first thing I ever heard about Americans was that they all carried guns. Then, when I came across people who’d had direct contact with this ferocious-sounding tribe, I learned that they were actually rather friendly. At university, friends who had traveled in the United States came back with more detailed stories, not just of the friendliness of Americans but also of their hospitality (which, in our quaint English way, was translated into something close to gullibility). When I finally got to America myself, I found that not only were the natives friendly and hospitable, they were also incredibly polite. No one tells you this about Americans, but once you notice it, it becomes one of their defining characteristics, especially when they’re abroad.

Troubled Patriot Update - January 2010

Greetings everyone and welcome to the new year! 2010 will be the year which will show, once and for all, where the majority of American's stand concerning the fate of their country. With elections only a few months away, this year promises to bring many newsworthy stories.

2009 was an interesting year for The Troubled Patriot. It wasn't until July that this blog truly became active, with August showing the start of increased content. December finished out the year with 22 posts, making the yearly posts a total of 90. I'm hoping that 2010 will be an even better year for this blog.

Next week, January 11th, I'll be returning to college. As such, I don't know as of yet how active I will be. The first few weeks will tell the tale, although I'm quite certain that mid-term and finals week will probably result in no postings what so ever!

There seems to have been some confusion or expectations that have not been met by some readers. To avoid creating any further surprises (such as what was generated by the previous post), I am going to clarify my stances on particular issues.

  • This is a Politically Correct (PC) free zone. I won't write any article in an attempt to please certain people's ego's or to tow any party line.
  • I do not affiliate myself with any political party, although I am a strong conservative. As such, I will heap praise where it is due, but also be quick to call on those who are endangering America.
  • In addition to being a PC free zone, this is also a place where the Cult of Personality will not be tolerated. There are quite a few predominate people who seem to have gathered a fanatical following. As such, their followers will defend them via tooth and nail, regardless of what said person states or does. There is no room for that here. We all know of the fanatical following that Obama has, but there are others as well who have seem to have drawn such a crowd. Some of those are Sarah Palin, Ron Paul, Rush Limbaugh, etc al. While there are many that I agree with on most issues, I will not turn a blind eye to what I feel is harmful. I called Ron Paul on it in the last article (as well as some local politicians), and I will continue to do so with any other prominent figure who "gets out of line." I would do so with Ronald Reagan if he was still around. Do I hate these people? No. However, I realize that we're all human - none are perfect. I'll admit that even about myself. I'm only 98.8% correct all the time! So, if you are afraid of seeing some criticism being placed upon your beloved "hero," then you may not want to return to this blog. I will pull no punches. As an American, I kneel to no one; I won't even bow.
  • I am 100% pro-life. I will not accept abortion under any circumstance. If there isn't a baby in your womb, then you aren't pregnant.
  • I'm 100% pro-death penalty. Some of you may be wondering if this is in contradiction to my pro-life stance. I tell you what, the first time a baby commits murder, rape or treason (punishable by death), then I will change my pro-life stance.
  • Not all Muslims are terrorists, but almost every single terrorist act committed during the past 10 years (and longer) have been by Muslims. As of this writing, almost 15,000 acts resulting in thousands upon thousands of deaths have been committed since 9-11-2001. Islam is not a religion of peace, and I will not tow that PC party line.
  • I do not, in any way shape or form, support large government. In fact, I vehemently oppose it. As we give more power to our government, an equal measure of liberty is lost.
  • I am a strong supporter of the country of Israel. As a bible believing Christian, I know that Israel's rebirth was foretold thousands of years ago, and that it is God's land to give to whom He chooses. I will not turn my back on that nation.
  • I know isolationism to be suicidal. Getting rid of alliances and refusing to fight terrorists on their own soil will only bring them and other bloodthirsty fanatics to ours. We must aid our allies while at the same time not surrendering one iota of our national sovereignty.
  • We must get rid of the UN and leave NATO. These are failed political organizations who's only true purpose is to bring about a one world government.
  • Talking to dictators and signing treaties with them will not help the causes of liberty. Didn't we learn anything from Neville Chamberlain?
  • I will oppose socialism and communism at every turn. If you want that kind of lifestyle, please, move to Cuba.
  • I will praise those whom are praiseworthy, regardless of party affiliation or prior background. If what they are doing now helps America, they have my support.
  • There are times when I will be quite blunt. On those occasions, it would be criminal to pull my punches.
  • I consider homosexuality to be an abomination and a sin. However, if this is something you want to practice behind your closed doors, go for it. What I will not stand for is someone forcing me to accept it. Nor will I stand passively by as our children are force fed some PC crap and are told that this is "normal" and "acceptable" behavior. Do not legislate your chosen sin into my life and the lives of our children.
  • I believe that we should be caretakers of this planet as well as all animal life. However, animals are animals, and a thousand polar bears are not even worth one human life. We should exploit our own natural resources instead of paying mad mullahs in the middle east for theirs. We must drill in ANWAR as well as in the Gulf of Mexico and any other place we may find necessary resources. We must become completely independent and not have our welfare tied to any other nation's.
  • Man made climate change is a myth!
  • I love my country, and will never apologize for it. No nation is perfect, being run by imperfect beings, yet America is the grandest nation ever to grace the face of the Earth. I will unabashedly proclaim her greatness and sing her praises. If you are seeking criticism of this country, there are plenty of progressive blogs which will quench that particular thirst.
  • We must secure our borders and get rid of illegal immigrants. English should become mandatory as our primary language. I'm tired of pressing 1 for English. Open borders means an unsecured America. An unsecured America will ultimately result in this nation's demise.
  • Affirmative Action should be tarred, feathered, and run out of town. People should be judged based upon their own merits, not their skin color, sex, sexual preference or disability.
  • I will not compromise any of the above stances. I will stubbornly hold fast to what is true, regardless of how popular or unpopular it makes me. I'd rather die in a raging inferno than for one moment sacrifice my convictions.
If you're still around after reading all of that, welcome! To those of you whom I've scared off, well, you probably haven't even read this far!

That being said, I wish each and every one of you a joyous and prosperous 2010!

It's The Rape Victim's Fault

There are times when one is inundated with absurdities. This is one of those times. While reviewing recent news, many stories have screamed for attention. Quite a few seemed worthwhile for commentary. Yet with so many choices, what was I to do?

The world seems to be in the midst of a mini ice age, yet we are told that dogs create as large a carbon footprint as a sports car - thus bad. Then we have news of Hawaii pulling out all the stops to honor BO with two holidays and a desire to create a state park from his birthplace (the problem is, no one knows for certain where he was born). From there, we have reports of a Danish cartoonist who was attacked by a member of the Religion of Peace(TM) who had to slam a panic button and run into a panic room to survive. Then of course, Jordan and the PA are trying to steal the Dead Sea Scrolls. Yet through all of this, one story has demanded my full attention - Ron Paul stating that America is to blame for her terrorist woes.

I wrote about this a little while back here, but I figured that I needed to add a little more to this "discussion." What Ron Paul and his supporters are basically stating is that: "it's the rape victim's fault."

A while back, while involved with a local Tea Party Movement, one day a week there was a gathering of people who came together during lunch to discuss the Constitution. During the last meeting I attended, an astonishing claim was made stating that it was America's fault that we were attacked. They said that as a result of our foreign policies, we have encouraged Islamic terrorists to attack us. With all due respect, that's a load of bull. Local Senate candidate Chick Heileson also holds these claims close to his heart.

People such as Paul and Heileson are the "diplomatic equivalent" to those who blame the victim for the crimes committed against them. They do not even bother to take into consideration the fact that the perpetrator is already infested with hate and corrupted by evil. A cursory examination of Islam reveals it's true intent, and even a cursory glance at CAIR (a supposedly "moderate" Muslim organization) reveals the truth. I ask you to go to CAIR Watch and read the statements made by it's own leadership. They support Hamas as well as other terrorist organizations, support the murder of jews in Israel, and some are even loath to confess that those who were slaughtered on 9-11 were innocent.

As I've written before, Islam has at it's basic philosophical core a doctrine of world domination. The Crusades were actually a response to Islamic invasion - an invasion that almost dominated all of Europe. Indeed, ever since Islam's inception, the world has been under siege.

Yet we have people such as Paul who are content to blame the United States for the terrorist attacks upon her. They want to remove all diplomatic support from Israel, and remove our alliances with other nations. They truly believe, in their honest but misguided hearts, that if America intentionally blinds itself to world events, it will remain safe. They have forgotten that Islam holds America as "the great Satan." Perhaps they have not forgotten this. Perhaps they have chosen to place the blame on America for that perception.

While at that last meeting, I attempted to confront the speaker about this. I tried to bring up the facts of Islamic militantism and was soundly cut off and was told once more that "Islam is a religion of peace which is being hijacked." The speaker, Chris Stevens, would not allow any further discussion on the topic. It is obvious that Mr. Stevens is willfully unaware of the basics of Islamic history. Unfortunately, many professed conservatives share these same views.

Young ladies spend quite a large amount of time finding the perfect outfit, dieting and exercising to keep fit, and using the perfect combination of makeup to accent their features. When doing this, none of them do so with the intention of inciting others to sexually assault them. When a rapist assaults them, is it ultimately the woman's fault (as many Islamists claim)?

The same can be said for America. We are the world's only true bastion of freedom - we (currently) have the freedoms of expression, speech, and religion. We boldly stand for the rights of others to enjoy these freedoms. We resist oppression and open our arms to all. We entered into two World Wars to keep millions free, yet as Islamists, those who hold to Ron Paul's viewpoints state that our very stance on freedom and our involvement in the world is the reason we are attacked.

Let me ask you this: If you saw a woman being attacked, would you stand back and blame her for what was being done or would you intervene? Can you honestly say, with today's world chaos, that as champions of liberty we should turn our backs to the plight of others? Should we allow Islam to reign supreme, and hold to the blind assumption that if we do nothing, we will remain safe? Will our inaction protect our daughters as we watch the daughters of others being raped?

Ron Paul, Chick Heileson, Chris Stevens, whose side are you really on?
